Wyotraveler Posted January 30, 2018 Report Posted January 30, 2018 Hey all, I just booked a 4-night stay at the New York New York Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas for 04/02/2017-04/06/2017. I did this through the MGM Resorts website, so I could take advantage of a 20% off discount (20% off their already discounted room rates) for MLife members and a 1-night room comp (not to toot my own horn) I earned by playing MyVegas Slots on Facebook. I am very happy, as I will owe the hotel $341.59 (including taxes/resort fees) or $85.40 a night. After booking this hotel I did some checking just for kicks and gigles and found a hotel on Priceline Express Deals for $361.68 that could be the New York New York, but can't be shure until after I book it. In any event I am happy with the deal I got, as I really like this hotel. I especially like the location, as it is right on the strip, in addition to being just a short ride from McCarren vie the inexpesive Westcliff Expess. In closing I would tell everyone to sign up for the hotel/resort rewards programs, as the often give you a discount for booking through their website and in this case my discount was on top of an already reduced rate.
thereuare Posted January 30, 2018 Report Posted January 30, 2018 Glad you found something that works for your needs. You could have also used the current BetterBidding Hotwire Coupon for $20 off a $100 purchase and made two separate purchases (for what i believe to be the New York New York hotel) bringing your total cost (including taxes/resort fee) to $336/nite which is a few dollars cheaper than your 'member deal'. With very low mid-week rates in Vegas (how much can they discount a $50/nite hotel room) it can sometimes be difficult to get enough of a discount thru PRICELINE / HOTWIRE to recoup the booking fee, but i have found most 'member' discounts to only be about 5% and in most cases it's usually easy to get a better deal thru PRICELINE / HOTWIRE. Always feel free to ask the board for help before your purchases. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Have fun and good luck in Vegas. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
