Hi,

I am traveling from March 13th - March 17th and was looking at the  PRICELINE EXPRESS deal for a 5* Central West Las Vegas strip. These are the details:

Hotel Amenities

 Business Center

 Restaurant

 Indoor or Outdoor Pool

 Casino

 Fitness Center

 No Smoking Rooms/Facilities

The price is $298/ night.

The description says "This central Strip spot is rich in gaming and entertainment, as well as the iconic Fountains of Bellagio. Marvel at the daily fountain show set to music or spend your winnings at the area's The Shops at Crystals."

Can you help me identify the hotel? Also, if I want to buy the deal and then include 2 kids in the room, would I have to call the hotel or can I do it once I reach there?

Thanks!

Welcome to Betterbidding.

When searching for 3/13-17, I'm seeing a different listing in the 5* spot on PRICELINE EXPRESS:

5* The Strip - Central West for $229 (please confirm the correct dates of travel are showing on the detail page after clicking this link)
Restaurant
Indoor or Outdoor Pool
Casino
Fitness Center
No Smoking Rooms/Facilities
>>>Best guess would be the Cosmo.

Are you still seeing the different/more expensive listing above?

PRICELINE EXPRESS only guarantees double occupancy/1 bed. You can call the hotel after booking to request 2 beds, but the hotel may say no or charge more.

Are you looking for something in particular in terms of hotel? Let us know more about what you are looking for (desired budget, acceptable zones, star rating and any other factors) and we would be happy to research and offer suggestions.

Few comments as well as some points that need clarification before moving forward...

Rates are high over these dates as it is the opening round of the NCAA March Madness Basketball Tournament, which is one the most heavily bet 4 day stretch of sports gambling of the year... about 50 basketball games are played over this 4-5 day period and it's a big deal; not to mention St. Patrick's Day adding to the demand.

In regards to your hotel search... are you willing to book for double occupancy but show up with quad occupancy and hope that the hotel will be able to accommodate your request for a room with two beds... or do you prefer to book something thru HOTWIRE where you indicate 2adults/2children in the search and guarantee accommodations for everyone in your family... or choosing a hotel that offers a BED CHOICE and one of those choices is a room that has 2 beds in the room? (NOTE: with most Las Vegas hotels now charging extra for rooms with 2 beds and/or anything over double occupancy, you should expect that this will increase the price vs. booking a room and only declaring double occupancy)

Let's start with the occupancy issue/question so we know what our options are when searching for a hotel for this trip and we'll take it from there.

EDIT TO ADD: although not ideal, would you be willing to SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID and change hotels the last nite of your trip?  I'm currently seeing the Palazzo for $238/nite for the first 3 nites (booking for double occupancy but all rooms at this property have a pullout sofabed)... then switching to The Wynn for the last nite of your stay for $203/nite (for double occupancy... not sure if the rooms here have pullout sofabeds standard but you could probably do a rollaway brought into the room, hope for an 'upgrade' to a room with two beds (and even if a $30 additional fee still brings you within budget).  You would be among two of the nicest hotels that Vegas has to offer, imo.

EDIT TO ADD #2: you could actually get what i believe to be the Wynn for the last nite for $203 when booking for 2adults/1child which should just about ensure that you have a room with 2 beds (or at the very least a pullout sofabed or a rollaway brought into the room at no additional charge)

Oh! Now the rates make sense. I was wondering why it was so expensive in March! :)

I wanted to choose a hotel with a bed choice, since we definitely want 2 queen beds. I'll call the hotel after booking with double occupancy and check about adding the kids. If they do charge for kids, I can pay after. I did see that palazzo allows kids under 12 for no extra charge. We would prefer not to split our stay. We were considering the MGM Grand if the 5* hotels are beyond our budget.

I really appreciate your help! Thank you!

You know the needs of your family best, but i would re-consider as part of the Vegas 'experience' is staying at some over-the-top hotel... and the two above are quite a big step up from the MGM.

I also wouldn't bother calling the hotel prior to my arrival unless potentially paying $30/nite is worth it to have two beds vs.the pullout sofabed.  The Venetian/Palazzo is a 5 star hotel so the sofabed are queen sized and actually quite good... these are not the thin mattress variety where you can feel the springs thru the mattress as you try and fall asleep; the rooms here are also oversized which will provide your family with a LOT more space than a standard room almost anyplace else.

How old are your kids?

So again, you know your family needs better than i do, but do you really need two Queen beds (for a 7 and 3 year old) that it would be a deal breaker if it couldn't be guaranteed prior to your purchase?

If you go the description page of The Palazzo you'll see the actual language is (emphasis added by me):

KIDS STAY FREE

Up to two children under 12 years stay free of charge when using existing beds

If you further look at the room choices on that page you'll see that rooms with 2 Queen beds cost about $30 more per nite than rooms with one King bed, so you can reserve the more expensive room with 2 Queen beds or you can as a 'worst case scenario' count on the pullout sofabed as your back-up plan should you not be able to upgrade (free or paid) to a room with 2 Queen beds at check-in.

I do understand what you ideally would like, but for me i'd be willing to take my chances and roll the dice (it is Vegas afterall ) before i decided to forgo the opportunity to stay at The Venetian / Palazzo / Wynn / Encore as in any other city you just don't typically get to stay at hotels of this caliber without paying a small fortune.

We're here to help you land a hotel for whatever you decide based upon your needs, but the 5 star casino hotels in the Strip North zone are truly a class above and something special, imo.

Have you ever been to Vegas before?

What is it that you're trying for?

Did you change your mind regarding SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID so that you can get all nites at under $250/nite average... or are you trying for something else?

So then what are the options you're considering:

1) To bid on PRICELINE...

OR

2) Take a deal from PRICELINE EXPRESS or HOTWIRE (specifically which offer is it you're looking to take??)

Currently you can get the Palazzo down to about $278/nite for your complete stay if you would be interested in this property at this price (confirm your dates on the landing page of the provided link):

5* The Strip - Northeast for $293 (less 5% from the board Priceline Coupon brings this down to $278/nite)
Business Center
Restaurant
Airport Shuttle
Indoor or Outdoor Pool
Casino
Fitness Center
No Smoking Rooms/Facilities
