dsrichard
Could also do Strip Southwest (T-Mobile) and Strip Northeast (Canal) but really hoping to hone in on Cosmopolitan, Bellagio or Aria and get them closer to $300 per night (vs. $400). Link to comment
thereuare
Here are my thoughts / best guesses for hotels that are under (or just slightly over) $300... confirm your dates on the landing pages after clicking the links provided below): 5* HOTWIRE North Strip - Grand Canal Shoppes for $174.00 Free Parking Free Internet Spa Pet Friendly Boutique Smoke Free Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Golf Kitchenette ==> Trump 5* HOTWIRE Center Strip - Fountains for $186.00 Free Parking Free Internet Condo Pet Friendly Suite Boutique Smoke Free Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Kitchenette Spa ==> Jet Luxury at the Vdara 5* HOTWIRE South Strip - T-Mobile Arena for $244.00 Pet Friendly Boutique Casino Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Golf Spa Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking Roll-in Shower ==> Delano at Mandalay Bay 5* HOTWIRE North Strip - Grand Canal Shoppes for $279.00 Free Parking Resort Suite Casino Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Laundry Hi-Speed Internet Spa Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking Roll-in Shower ==> Palazzo 5* HOTWIRE South Strip - T-Mobile Arena for $303.00 Pet Friendly Boutique Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Golf Spa Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Wheelchair Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking Roll-in Shower ==> Four Seasons 5* HOTWIRE Center Strip - Fountains for $314.00 Pet Friendly Suite Boutique Smoke Free Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Golf Kitchenette Spa Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Roll-in Shower ==> Vdara My choice would be the following PRICELINE EXPRESS offer (again, confirm your dates on the landing page) which you can also get an additional 5% off using the board Priceline Coupon which would be well within your budget (and a great deal considering high prices for these dates): 5* The Strip - Northeast for $272 Business Center Restaurant Airport Shuttle Indoor or Outdoor Pool Casino Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ==> The Palazzo Resort Hotel Casino my best guess here Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. dsrichard
I'm also seeing one other 5* hotel on The Strip - Central West Area that is listed at $364 (run of the house) or $389 (two queens). Any ideas what this one is? Amenities displayed as: Business Center Restaurant Indoor or Outdoor Pool Casino Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Thanks - David P.S. -- I'm a huge fan and have been using the website for many years. A long time ago, I talked to you about UX design for the site (I had an agency). Link to comment
AaronJB
Are you still seeing the listing above? When searching for these dates on PRICELINE EXPRESS I'm seeing a slightly different listing: (please confirm the correct dates of travel are showing on the detail page after clicking the link below.) 5* The Strip - Central West for $352 Restaurant Indoor or Outdoor Pool Casino Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities >>>Best guess would be the Cosmo Let us know what you decide or if we can be of any further assistance. thereuare
Hope you have been well. (sounds like not running the agency anymore?) Note that the property above in AaronJB's post is different than the one that you just asked about (i agree with his guess of the Cosmopolitan for the one listed), for the other (confirm your dates on the landing page after clicking the link below): 5* The Strip - Central West for $364 Fitness Center Business Center Casino Restaurant No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Swimming Pool ==> my best guess for this one would be the Bellagio Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. dsrichard
Ok, have gotten confirmation from friends about attendance to Vegas. Wondering if you guys have insights into 5* availability, pricing for May 4-6. Prefer Center Strip (Aria, Cosmo, Bellagio) or NorthEast (Wynn, Encore, Venetian, Palazza). Thoughts? Do prices fluctuate on different days of the week through HW and PL? Link to comment
thereuare
So we are looking at an accurate view of available inventory, how many rooms/adults/children do you need accommodations for? What is your maximum budget (per room before taxes/fees)? dsrichard
2 rooms with 3 adults each (so 2 queen beds). Need to be out the door (taxes, resort fees, etc.) for under $2000 total. I think that puts us at somewhere around $400 per room per night. Link to comment
thereuare
'Declaring' triple occupancy in Vegas (no matter how you book) is going to increase the price, as is also usually the case when choosing 2Qeen beds (vs. 1King)... which (if any) of the following are you comfortable with: -booking for double occupancy if a room choice is given indicating a room with 2 beds -booking for double occupancy and one being guaranteed one bed if you know there will also be a pullout sofabed available in the room Let us know the above and we'll research what is available. dsrichard
Comfortable with Option 1: room choice with 2 beds. Don't want anybody stuck on a pullout sofa. Link to comment
thereuare
Closest you can get for one of the hotels you have listed above and having 2 Queen beds is the Cosmopolitan for $2222 all-in. Worth stretching your budget OR do you prefer to roll the dice and wait a bit OR is a pullout sofabed become acceptable to save $225? (i understand not wanting to be on a sofabed, but the ones at the 5* hotels in Vegas are actually 'pretty good'... they're not the type founds at 2* motels where you can feel the springs poking thru the mattress as you sleep) Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. dsrichard
What are the odds that rolling the dice works? Which hotels provide sofabed option. Link to comment
thereuare
28 minutes ago, dsrichard said: What are the odds that rolling the dice works? Nobody can say and even those that think they can may get it wrong... Imagine the 10 trips below all for a 1 nite stay: 9 times the price goes down $5 (success!) 1 time the price goes up $150 (failure) ==> so in the above is there a 90% success rate (since 9 out of 10 times the price went down) OR is the entire group of bookings a failure since the one time it did not pay to wait it negated all the savings from the previous 9 trips? Regardless of the example above, rates in Vegas change more frequently than any other market in the US, and it's nearly impossible to predict which way they will go, as it all depends upon how actual new reservations/cancellations come in relative to expected new reservations/cancellations. The Venetian/Palazzo both have sofabeds standard in all rooms. dsrichard
I’m liking Cosmo. Are you likely to have a coupon code for Hotwire in the next day or so? Also is Cosmo anywhere to be found on priceline so I can use 5% coupon? Link to comment
thereuare
We currently have both a Priceline Coupon and a Hotwire Coupon (you can always check using the links under the header at the top of the board). I believe the following is the Cosmopolitan on PRICELINE EXPRESS (confirm your dates if you should for some reason pursue this one):5* The Strip - Central West (confirm your dates on the landing page) for $399/nite with: Restaurant Indoor or Outdoor Pool Casino Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ==> however, the issue here is that this price is for a room that does not indicate 2 beds... a room that specifically has 2 Queen beds in it is offered for $555/nite, which reemphasizes my point about about how in Vegas rooms with 2 beds are often considered an upgrade from standards and cost more The following is the HOTWIRE offer i am referring to: 5* Center Strip - Fountains for $417.00 Pet Friendly Boutique Casino Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Golf Tennis Spa Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Wheelchair Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking Roll-in Shower ==> best guess for this one is the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas To see the full amenity set above you will need to use the EASY VIEW of our BiddingHelper.com tool. However, this one does not show the room choice option, so you will need to click on the 'regular' HOTWIRE tab in the BiddingHelper.com tool and choose the one at the same price and match the other data to what is shown when clicking the EASY VIEW tab offer (ie- Overall satisfaction, Condition of hotel, Quality of service, Room comfort, Room cleanliness, Location of hotel all rated 4.5 except for 'location' which is 5.0... the 90% user recommendation, and anything else you can see to confirm that the two offers are the same)... in the 'regular' HOTWIRE tab you will see the 2 Queen bed option for $415-$418/nite. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
