Priceline Hotel: Need bidding help - Tampa (Downtown) 3* 3/8-3/11

Looking to get a 3* (or possibily a 2-1/2*) in Downtown Tampa zone 3/8-3/11 for $60 or less (if that isn't totally unreasonable).

I would appreciate any bidding strategies you can offer since my window for lining something up is pretty tight.

Rates are high for these dates and i think you'll have a tough time securing a 3* hotel for $60 or less. You do have two re-bid zones avialable at the 3* level, If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.. This is what i would try:

Select 3* Downtown...

Bid $50, if rejected add re-bid zone1...

Bid $55, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.

Select 3* Downtown and re-bid zone2...

Bid $58, if rejected add re-bid zone1...

Bid $60, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.

I could also consider the Tampa (Brandon) area for a hotel...although I realize the best I'll get there is 2-1/2*...would I be much more likely to get something there in that timeframe for $60 (or even $50 or less)?

If so, what would be your suggested bidding strategy?

Why don't you try the above first (since a 3* is your preference)... if you don't succeed, then let us know all of your options and we'll be able to provide a complete strategy based upon all of your criteria.

We decided to cancel this trip - so we never tried making any bids.
