To get started for NYC, what exactly is it that you're looking for in a hotel for this trip, as the hotel you referenced above (i'm assuming the TRYP By Wyndham Times Square South) is not located in the 'Times Square' zone for either PRICELINE nor HOTWIRE (it's nearby, but not in the Times Square zone which you stated as a requirement for this stay).

 

I will also add that you probably don't need to be directly in Times Square (in fact, many people prefer not to be do to the crowds and difficulty walking the streets), as you will likely spend far less time there than you think.  Typically the most important aspects for NYC is to be centrally located and near a subway station (or two) accessible to multiple train lines.
