Hotwire Hotel: New York stay in 2018 early May

Hi, we are travelling to new york in early May (April 29 to May 2)

 

we would like to stay in either time square north and south, south of central park, or wall street. and for 4 stars and above.

 

Is it possible to get a deal below 250USD with all fees included? currently, all 4 stars in above-mentioned area al all over our budget...

 

will the price get lower closer to the date of travelling?

If you are looking for $250 "all-in" (taxes/fees incl) for all 3 nights total, then that's unfortunately going to be very unlikely for Spring in NYC, especially at the 4* level. There's no way to know if prices will come down closer to the stay, but in the years since 2008 as demand has ramped up, there's less in the way of last minute deals (and quite often, prices have gone higher.) For these dates, you're likely looking at in the neighborhood of $600 for a 4* for these dates all-in or higher depending on zone. What would be your desired max per night before taxes/fees?
