Adventurous Posted December 2, 2017 Report Posted December 2, 2017 We would like to go to NYC for 1 night on December 3 to December 4, 2017. We are familiar with Times Square and near Bryant Park area. My husband is very picky about where we stay. He says only 4 star hotels but I don't want to pay more than $175. Any suggestions of what area to stay and how to bid with Priceline. First time using this service. Usually book hotels where I have all the information.
AaronJB Posted December 2, 2017 Report Posted December 2, 2017 Welcome to Betterbidding. On PRICELINE EXPRESS (please confirm that the correct date of travel is showing on the detail page after clicking the link below.) 4.5* Times Square - Theatre District for $119 Pets Allowed Business Center Restaurant Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities >>>Guess would be the Westin Times Square or Sanctuary, but I'd lean more towards the Westin. This would be a very good deal for a 4.5* in early December, which is traditionally one of the busiest periods of the year as it's prime time for holiday shopping and festivities. You can bid using PRICELINE's Name Your Own Price, but you have to be willing to accept any hotel at the star rating picked in the zone chosen. PRICELINE EXPRESS and HOTWIRE give enough information to make an educated guess as to which hotels are showing. Let us know what you decide or if we can be of any further assistance. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
Adventurous Posted December 2, 2017 Author Report Posted December 2, 2017 Thank you for the information. Are the 4 star ratings with the Priceline express truly 4 star hotels?
AaronJB Posted December 2, 2017 Report Posted December 2, 2017 Certainly, a hotel may not be everyone's cup-of-tea and opinions may vary, but PRICELINE EXPRESS 4* properties are 4*. A few other PRICELINE EXPRESS examples (please confirm the correct date of travel is showing on the detail page after clicking the links below.) 4* Times Square - Theatre District for $109 Pets Allowed Business Center Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities >>>Best guess would be Hilton Times Square 4.5* Chelsea Area for $150 Business Center Restaurant Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities >>>Best guess would be the Innside New York Nomad. 4.5* Rockefeller Center - Bryant Park for $155 Pets Allowed Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities >>>Best guess would be the Omni Berkshire. Would any of these possibilities (or the potential Westin above) be of interest? Let us know what you decide or if we can be of any further assistance. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
thereuare Posted December 3, 2017 Report Posted December 3, 2017 So is your husband OK with any of the hotels guessed above? I have personally stayed at the Hilton Times Square which i think is an excellent deal at that price... you can exit the hotel directly on 42nd St if you you want to be right in the middle of it all, or alternately exit on for 41st St for a more relaxing pace. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know what you decide or if you have any further questions (as i'm very familiar with NYC) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
