Priceline Hotel: 4.5* New York (Madison Square Garden - Convention Area) Crowne Plaza Hy36 Midtown Manhattan

Any advice and help would be greatly appreciated. 

 

I am looking for a hotel close to 34th street and 1st ave for December 1st - 5th, I know I really procrastinated. 

 

I would ideally like a 4.5 or 5*. I am good with a 4* just wary about getting a boutique 4* hotel that isn't really a 4*.  

 

I would like to be under $1200 with taxes and fees but really don't want to spend more than $1600 all in.

 

I have tried bidding up to $285, 4.5* using zones times square theater district, midtown east, Grand central terminal, Rockefeller center, and empire state building area. 

 

I am fine using Priceline, Priceline express, or Hotwire.

I'm very familiar with NYC, so that i have a clearer picture of your needs for this trip, can you clarify your desire/need to be near 34th St/1st Ave... as some of the zones that you have already bid are not necessarily in that vicinity.  If you can comment further about your plans we can try to find you something that will best meet your needs/budget.  If you are visiting the hospital is this the main focus of your trip and you will need to make multiple trips each day OR is this just one aspect of your trip and will need to be there a couple of times during this trip (but not necessarily multiple trips each day)?

I am actually visiting NYC for my brother's birthday and he lives at that address. It is not vital that we are super close to this area but figured we will probably end up at his place a few times during the trip. We are also going to be seeing a Broadway show and figured we would be doing things in the midtown area. So the area is flexible and we will likely be ubering around. I am happy moving farther for a better deal, nicer hotel.
