carolb3 Posted November 6, 2017 Report Posted November 6, 2017 Hello, I have questions about results for bidding on 2 rooms. I am looking for to rooms on Friday, November 24 for 6 people (4 adults; 2 children). Nothing below 4 star and preferably 4.5 or 5, as it's for a 50th birthday, and we are looking for something nice, fun or unique and am looking in the Meatpacking or Soho/Village areas. My search shows: 4.5-star Hotel in Meatpacking - Greenwich Village area Complimentary Free Internet Amenities Business centerFitness centerPet friendlyPool(s)Restaurant(s)Self-service laundrySpa services $384 per night Does this mean the total for 2 rooms? It gives me a choice of 1 queen bed or 1 king bed. How would this fit 6 people? It would be fine if I got a room with 2 beds (or 1 bed; 1 sofabed) and another with 1 bed. Thanks for any help!
AaronJB Posted November 6, 2017 Report Posted November 6, 2017 Welcome to Betterbidding. A few thoughts: The listing is giving you a price of per room/per night. If you click through, you will then see the total for both rooms during the check-out process. NYC (where rooms are often small and occasionally very small even at higher star ratings) is difficult in regards to two beds (often a paid upgrade when available, whereas in family-friendly Orlando two beds is usually no problem), but sometimes you will see two bed options as a bed choice option in HOTWIRE or PRICELINE EXPRESS listings. Otherwise, if you search for more than two people per room on HOTWIRE, you should get some form of bedding for the entire party (that can mean 2 beds, 1 + rollaway or 1 + sofa.) What would be your desired budget per room/per night? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
