mmg.1984
Hi, Could someone give me a hint which hotel this offer could refer to in Priceline? New York - 3.5-Star Hotel - Empire State Building Area - 11-8-2017 7 nights $136 I'll be travelling with my daughter (2 years old) and my wife, can someone tell me approx how much could a hotel in this range charge in average for an extra small bed? Thanks in advance Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! When seeking PRICELINE EXPRESS (or HOTWIRE) help please also include the amenities that are associated with the property. I assume this is the offer you're looking at (confirm your dates on the landing page after clicking the link provided below): 3.5* Empire State Building Area for $136 Pets Allowed No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ==> best guess for this one would be the NH Jolly Hotel Madison Towers 2 hours ago, mmg.1984 said: approx how much could a hotel in this range charge in average for an extra small bed? There are quite a few NYC hotel rooms that are so small that they can't accommodate an extra bed in the room... and some hotels that don't even carry rollaway beds (as they don't want to use up valuable space storing them). I'm very familiar with NYC... what is your maximum budget (per nite before fees/taxes) and is there anything specific you need in a hotel for this trip? Also, how close is your daughter to turning 3 (vs. having just turned 2)? mmg.1984
Thanks for the response, my maximum would be $150, my daughter will be 3 in January, does that make any difference? Link to comment
thereuare
I asked about the age of your daughter as HOTWIRE defines 'children' as 2-17 years old. So if your daughter, for example, had just turned two you might be able to get away with searching for only 2 adults, then once you find the hotel name call to make sure a rollaway or pullout sofabed is available. If not you could then call HOTWIRE indicating that you didn't include your daughter in the search since she is 1yr 11mos and as per their search box it indicated to only include children that are 2+ years old. Any thoughts on: 3.5* HOTWIRE Times Square North for $167.00 Smoke Free Fitness Restaurant Business Laundry Kitchenette Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Roll-in Shower ==> best guess would be The Belvedere hotel which can book 2 double beds at this price 4* HOTWIRE Union Square - Flatiron for $180.00 Free Internet Fitness Business Hi-Speed Internet Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Handicapped Parking ==> Avalon Hotel is my guess here...also 2 Double beds at this price Any of these of interest? (i know each is a little more than you ideally wanted to pay, but the above are a big leap in quality vs. what is available for $15-$30 less) Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. AaronJB
Would be somewhat over budget, but I'm seeing on HOTWIRE: 4* Theater District - Midtown West for $151.00 Free Internet Boutique Smoke Free Fitness Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Blind Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Wheelchair Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking Roll-in Shower ==> This would be a possible match for the Yotel. If this is the Yotel that charges a $27 a night fee which does result in some benefits. On the detail page for this listing, there's a 4.5/5 tripadvisor rating showing. I'm not seeing a whole lot of interest under $150 and some of what is showing (such as the Jolly Hotel Madison Towers) doesn't get great reviews. Would this potential option be of any interest?
