TravelGuy Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 A friend coming to join me at the Hyatt La Jolla couldn't get free from work and wasn't able to make the first night of a 2 night stay. He called the hotel to ask whether he could just check in the following day. They said no problem. Not only that, but when he checked-in, he noticed that they had extended his stay by one night, giving him the full two nights!I would think that checking in by phone using 1-800-checkin would also work in such situations for Hyatt Gold Passport members.

TravelGuy Posted October 5, 2003 Author Report Posted October 5, 2003 I quite agree. One reason I posted this was to try to get a discussion going with experiences others have had in similar situations at other hotels. This is another reason to support Hyatt whenever possible.
