Hi there, looking to secure a 4* hotel in the times square, midtown east or west for around $200 for October 6th and 7th.

 

Do you think that's possible?

To confirm, your check-in is 10/6 and check-out is 10/8... a 2 nite stay?

 

If so, at current rates i don't think you will be successful at under $200/nite... i think you are more so looking at about $225/nite plus taxes/fees (wasn't clear if your $200 target was before taxes/fees or all-in)

 

Do you have a back-up plan or is this an optional trip that you won't take if not able to get something under $200/nite?

Yes, I was thinking $200 before taxes/fees.

I don't currently have a back-up plan and therefore would be open to spending a bit more if need be.

 

Would you know what options I have in and around the $225 range?

Would it be better to look at other areas? I am planning on doing touristy things for that period and would prefer to be closer to the action/experience as I have only been to NY for a short stay a while ago.
