Was trying to figure out which hotel this is.  It has been recommended 95%. 

4.5* Chicago - Oct 22
Magnificent Mile - Water Tower

The amenities are:

Free Internet - Boutique hotel - Business center - Children's activities - Fitness center - Golf nearby - Pet friendly - Restaurant(s)

 

I was thinking that it is the Thompson Hotel.  Any thoughts?

 

The rate is $106 for one night.  Seems like a good deal.  What do you think?

I'm not currently seeing this property offered when searching HOTWIRE for your dates... are you still seeing the above on your own search? If so, are you searching HOTWIRE for more than one room or for more than the default 2adults/0children?

I'm not seeing the hotel mentioned on HOTWIRE either (are you searching for more than 2 adults?) but am familiar with the city and would be happy to offer suggestions.

The hotel which I originally saw may not have lasted for long.  I also was looking at PRICELINE and they also had a 4.5* in the same area for $106.

 

After using the very helpful BiddingHelper.com, I decided to bid for a room on Priceline hoping to save a little money, by bidding a little less than $106.  

 

I used your links to begin the bidding process, and I ended up with a winning bid of $97 for a 4.5* in the Sofitel Chicago Magnificent Mile.  I'm very happy with the result, as it's a highly rated hotel.

Congratulations on your success!

Glad to see you're pleased with the hotel and deal you received and are looking forward to your trip.  This property does not really 'advertise' it, but early in the morning (i think from 6am-8am... you can ask at the front desk during check-in) they offer free chocolate croissants and coffee at the bar in the back of the restaurant (my wife said that the croissants were some of the best she has ever had)
