GoldFish1326 Posted September 8, 2017 Report Posted September 8, 2017 Hi, I was told to watch Honolulu prices pretty far in advance to get a reasonable deal but there are many options in this area. Honolulu, HI 3.5 star condo in Upper Waikiki 90% recommended, I filtered by the amenity FULL KITCHEN as this is a requirement for our stay. Says 301-500 reviews. Room rate 151 USD. Says last person got Regency on boardwalk, I think this IS Regency because it doesn't like POOL, and it's the only one that didn't have a pool am I on the right track? I eliminated these as they didn't fall in the 301-500 reviews range: Waikiki place had only 91 reviews Luana Waikiki 1597 reviews Coconut Waikiki (different TA rating & 514 reviews) Courtyard by Marriot Waikiki 3.5/5 (hotwire says 4/5 TA rating) Shoreline Hotel Waikiki 4.5/5 1620 reviews Surfjack hotel & swim club is 5/5 on TA with 481 reviews Hokulani Waikiki by Hilton 4.5/5 705 reviews It seems the only one that fits IS Regency on Beachwalk, but unsure if it not mentioning pool actually means no pool so could be discounting hotels incorrectly. Any thoughts on which possibly hotels this could be so I can try to book it when the price drops? Thanks so much! Love this site.
thereuare Posted September 8, 2017 Report Posted September 8, 2017 When requesting hotel help please include the full amenity set (using the BiddingHelper.com EASY VIEW tab and clicking on the GREEN 'Full Amenities' butotn next to the listing) in your post to make sure we are looking at the same property. Assuming this is the offer you're looking at: 3.5* HOTWIRE Upper Waikiki for $151.00 Free Internet Suite BR1 Kitchen Smoke Free Daily Housekeeping Restaurant Front Desk Laundry Hi-Speed Internet Golf Kitchenette Travel Accessible Handicapped Parking Roll-in Shower ==> my best guess for this one would be the Regency on Beachwalk Waikiki by Outrigger TWO notes/comments: 1) the hotel needs to have all the amenities shown by HOTWIRE but does not need to show all the amenities they have. So the hotel could have a pool even though not listed in the HOTWIRE amenities. However, i looked into the Regency on Beachwalk and i don't see any information about them having a pool... you can try to research further if this would be a dealbreaker for you. 2) the "Last person got ___" information shown by HOTWIRE is relative to the last person who bought a hotel of this star rating in the zone... not necessarily in relation to the underlying hotel currently being offered. Would the Regency on Beachwalk work for your needs this trip? If not, let us know more about what it is that you require (in addition to a Kitchenette) as well as your maximum budget (per nite before fees/taxes) and we will try to assist further. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. GoldFish1326 Posted September 8, 2017 Author Report Posted September 8, 2017 Yes sorry the amenities are: FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Suite, 1-bedroom suite, Full kitchen, Smoke-free rooms, Daily housekeeping, Restaurant(s), Front desk, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Golf nearby, Kitchenette, Accessible path of travel, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower I'm okay with there being no pool it says you can use the Reef pool next door if that is actually the Regency, I will have to monitor and hope the price goes down thanks for the quick response I will watch this hotel!

GoldFish1326 Posted September 11, 2017 Author Report Posted September 11, 2017 Our budget is probably 150 to 160 range, I'm concerned if that is Regency boardwalk by outrigger that there are cleaning or resort fees that aren't being disclosed. I know when we booked vegas it told us about the approximate resort fee is it safe to assume if there was such a fee hotwire would approx it as I've seen before? I ask because the cleaning fee I saw on their outrigger site was $250usd. The full kitchen ans proximity to beach are the big things.
AaronJB Posted September 12, 2017 Report Posted September 12, 2017 Resort fees are stated during check-out, with rare exceptions. Cleaning fees are not shown. This is the only property with kitchenette as an amenity this zone. Would this property work well for your travel plans? If not, are you seeing a different listing with kitchenette that would fit within your desired budget in a nearby zone? GoldFish1326 Posted November 20, 2018 Author Report Posted November 20, 2018 Hi sorry, We ended up renting an apartment for our stay not HOTWIRE as we needed to have access to a full kitchen for sure! Thanks
