Holandesa
Hi, I will be visit US for a business trip and I will have a weekend for myself. I was planning to go to Las Vegas and go for the Il Divo show at the Venetian. I'm planning to be in Vegas on Friday evening - Sept 22nd till Sunday 24th (the show is on Sept 23rd). It would be great if I could stay at the same hotel as the show - The Venetian. (if not, somewhere close by that I can walk to the Venetian) I see a hotel in the PRICELINE EXPRESS deal that seems to be the Venetian and I see the same description at the bidding your own price (but a bit cheaper). Could you help me identifying the hotel? 5* - Northeast amenities: restaurant, in-and outdoor pool, casino, airport shuttle, fitness center. $284 It seems also available in the NYOP.. Any suggestion how I should proceed? Many thanks, Link to comment
AaronJB
On PRICELINE EXPRESS, I'm seeing (please confirm that the correct dates of travel are showing on the detail page.) 5* The Strip - Northeast for $284 Restaurant Airport Shuttle Indoor or Outdoor Pool Casino Fitness Center >>>Guess would be the Venetian. Keep in mind with bidding that what is showing on the PRICELINE EXPRESS side is not necessarily what you may win via NYOP. Additionally, while casino is showing as an amenity on NYOP at the 5 level in this zone for these dates, it isn't always and may change at any time. The Express Deal also shows bed choice, including upgrades (Bella Suite, etc) if that is of interest. You can also use the current promotion in my signature for the Express Deal. Keep us updated with what you decide and let us know if we can be of any further assistance. When bidding on PRICELINE (NYOP) the amenities next to the star rating are amenities that are offered at every hotel in the zone at that star rating... not a specific hotel that you are bidding on; in fact, at this point in the bidding process PRICELINE has not yet even checked inventory for your dates yet. Holandesa
Ok, it's good to know this! I still think I want to go with the NYOP option. Especially if we can have a considerable saving. The one thing is for sure is that we want to stay in a 5* at the Northeast side, so we will stay in a good place and close to the show venue. What would be a good bidding strategy? at start at which price? (our dates are Sept 22- Sept 24) Thanks again! Link to comment
thereuare
Current rates at The Venetian (confirm your dates on the landing page of the provided link) start at $364/nite for your dates... if you let us know your maximum bid price (before fees/taxes) we will suggest a strategy for you to follow. Holandesa
Hi, I was thinking about $180 - not sure if this is realistic or not? Thanks for your help! Link to comment
AaronJB
NYOP discounts are generally slightly-to-moderately more than PRICELINE EXPRESS. Unfortunately, $180 is not going to be realistic given the rates for these dates. I'm seeing on PRICELINE EXPRESS (please confirm the correct dates of travel are showing after clicking the link below.) 5* The Strip - Northeast for $284 Restaurant Airport Shuttle Indoor or Outdoor Pool Casino Fitness Center >>>Guess would be the Venetian. You're probably looking at more in the neighborhood of $240-260 for success on NYOP and there is no guarantee you will get the same hotel. Additionally, there's currently the 5% promotion for PRICELINE EXPRESS in my signature. Is $180 your desired max budget per night for this stay?
