thereuare Posted February 28, 2006 Report Posted February 28, 2006 We stayed here for one nite before an early morning flight. The location was good as it is very close to the airport, however, the rest of the stay was not very good at all....Called ahead and asked for a non-smoking king room and was told that we were assigned a smoking king and i should call Priceline to request a change because "only certain rooms are assigned to Priceline reservations" (a bad sign)... i informed the woman on the phone that Priceline suggested i call them and if she could just put a note that i want a non-smoking room i'd appreciate it.Upon check-in i asked for a non-smoking king which we received, although it was on the first floor and right above the indoor pool/hottub area. As i wouldn't want to walk around the room with others being able to look in i would have asked for a different room, but as it was only for one nite and we would only be sleeping there for about 6 hours i didn't ask to change rooms. This was a mistake as although the pool closes at 11pm, a group of 4 people decided to use the hottub at 11:30 and we could hear every word they said, even when they weren't raising their voices (which was often as they were a little drunk). Security finally told them to leave and of course we heard them in the hall as well as they returned to their rooms. This leads to the biggest problem of all with this property... the sound proofing is AWFUL. The doors are designed to slam shut and you can hear every door that closes... no matter if it is near your room or not. It seemed that we heard every door that shut anywhere in the hotel. Neither of the above issues were welcomed as we were trying to fall asleep since we had a 6am flight.I will add one thing about this property, the pool is pretty neat, as it is both indoor and outdoor... it snakes through the lobby and in two sections you can go under water and be outside. We didn't have time to use the pool at all, but if you have kids they will think this is 'neat', but for me it's not enough to want to return to this property.
