Max510
Hello - Thanks to all for your posts and for the wonderful answers. I would like to bid for 1 night at a Waikiki Beach or Beach Walk 4.5 or 5*. At retail, most seem to be $500+ so wondering what I should start with. Looks like options are Sheraton, Trump and Royal Hawaiian ... another others? What are some good 4.5* options. Thinking that $300-$375 might work. Would be for 2 adults and 2 kids. Thanks! AaronJB
Welcome to Betterbidding. If this is for 2adults/2children, then bidding only guarantees 1 bed. I'd recommend looking for a PRICELINE EXPRESS listing or HOTWIRE listing with bed choice where 2 beds is one of the options. If you still want to bid and are willing to risk 1 bed, please let us know. If not, are you seeing any HOTWIRE or PRICELINE EXPRESS listings of interest? If so, please confirm the star rating, amenities, zone and price per night before taxes/fees of the listing of interest. Additionally, please confirm the date of travel. In terms of hotels, you can see the hotels reported to the board here: Priceline Hotel List and Hotwire Hotel List. The lists include only the hotels that have been reported to the board - new hotels and rating changes are reported often. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Max510
Hi - Priceline Express has a 5* for $264 (although may upgrade to garden view or suite). According to map, probably Sheraton or Royal Hawaiian. Hotwire also has a Hot Rate Deal for 5* at $269 but not sure the hotel. Which do you think is best option of the 2 or should I try and bid on HW? Will use links on the board and then go to Car Rental. Thanks Link to comment
thereuare
There is no bidding on HOTWIRE... you either take the price offered or you don't. What are the amenities of the HOTWIRE offer (when using our BiddingHelper.com tool and clicking GREEN 'Full Amenities' button in the EASY VIEW tab)? Using the Priceline Express tab what are the amenities of the PRICELINE EXPRESS offer? What is it that you are looking for in a hotel for this trip? Max510
Amenities are same for both - 5* with 2 double beds garden view. One PRICELINE EXPRESS comes to $357 and HW comes to $370. Would love to pay less but in looking at map, I'm guessing Royal Hawaiian or Halekulani. Link to comment
Max510
For the PRICELINE EXPRESS room - quote is $264 for 2 double beds but I still need to put 2 adults and 2 kids in there. Sorry that I am confused by double occupancy but wondering if it is ok to 2 kids in the room Link to comment
Max510
Pool, spa, non-smoking, 2 double beds with garden view Link to comment
thereuare
1 hour ago, Max510 said: Amenities are same for both I don't think you ever listed the amenities anywhere in this thread. Here is what we're looking for... along with our best guess for each (both obtained using the BiddingHelper.com EASY VIEW tab and the PRICELINE EXPRESS tab: For the HOTWIRE offer: 5* Waikiki Beach for $269.00 Free Internet Resort Beachfront Smoke Free Fitness Pool Restaurant Laundry Hi-Speed Internet Golf Spa Childrens Activities Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking Roll-in Shower ==> best guess here would be The Royal Hawaiian, a Luxury Collection Resort, Waikiki I don't believe the PRICELINE EXPRESS is available anymore at that price as i see the offer but when i click it i get the message that is no longer available, but to answer your question... Technically your reservation is only for double occupancy, but i don't know of anyone yet who has had an issue showing up with triple/quad occupancy when a specific room type was purchased and that room type is designed to accommodate the number of guests in your group/family (it's also easy enough to avoid any issues by just having one/two people go up to the check-in desk while the other one/two wonder around the lobby (if the hotel is big enough), explore the pool area, or wait at a nearby Starbucks (or similar coffee shop). thereuare
Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread. Once you win a hotel, use the 'ADD REPLY and REPORT WIN' button on the upper right corner of the page to edit the topic title to reflect your win and to provide the details of your purchase. This helps keep the board better organized by reducing the number of unresolved threads that don't have any follow-up or conclusion. Thank you for sharing your win with the board. Please note the amenities that PRICELINE EXPRESS associates with the property and shows prior to your purchase as they are different than what is shown after your purchase. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
