Thanks for the follow-up of your previous thread.

For this HOTWIRE offer:

4.5* Midtown East for $156.00
Pet Friendly
Boutique
Smoke Free
Fitness
Restaurant
Business
Hi-Speed Internet
==> from the Hotwire Hotel List this is a match for The Westin New York Grand Central and that would be my best guess for this one

I'm very familiar with NYC... what is it that you're looking for in a hotel for this trip?

So we know exactly what room rate we should be looking for within the search results, what is your maximum budget per nite before taxes/fees?

Regardless of the pre/post taxes and fees amount your budget will not be enough for these dates based upon current rates.  If you complete your search (2rooms/2adults/4children) using our BiddingHelper.com tool and in the EASY VIEW TAB on the left side:

-hover your mouse over the 4.0 stars and then select the 'AND HIGHER' link that appears (this will uncheck all star ratings except 4, 4.5, and 5)

-near the top of the search results find where it says 'Sort by' and click the blue 'PRICE' link (this will sort all 4* and higher hotels by price from lowest to highest)

Then if you scroll thru the results looking at the zones, you'll see that the least expensive hotel in Manhattan is a 4* hotel in the Lower East Side zone for $150/nite, which is over your budget (and if you do decide to raise your budget you'll probably better with the 4.5* hotel for an extra $5/nite)

I do have one other option in mind... how old are your kids?  Are you coming in for the parade?

Do you currently have any options that are within your budget?

Unless rates come down (and no assurance they will with the parade in town) then you're going to have to make some compromise(s) in regards to budget, star rating, and/or location as there are currently no 4* options that meet your criteria in regards to budget.

This is an expensive time of year, made more problematic with the parade (the weekend dates after the parade are often cheaper but the pre-parade dates are usually high) and that you need more than double occupancy for each room (as rooms with two beds and/or triple occupancy in NYC are often considered an upgrade and cost more than 'standard' rooms).

Even searching for only double occupancy for each room and then hoping a 'bed choice' with two beds is shown, anything meeting this criteria has the 2 bedded room starting at $150+, which then puts you in the same situation/price as the Westin above.
