Would this possibility be of interest? If not, please let us know more about what you are looking for in terms of hotel and we would be more than happy to research and offer other suggestions. lcmiller25 Posted July 3, 2017 Author Report Posted July 3, 2017 Thanks for the input. We'll probably keep looking. We were hoping it might be something more along the lines of Hotel G.
AaronJB Posted July 3, 2017 Report Posted July 3, 2017 Which zone/s would be acceptable and what would be your desired max budget? Would be happy to offer other suggestions... what is it about the Hotel G that made that one of interest to you? lcmiller25 Posted August 6, 2017 Author Report Posted August 6, 2017 We decided to wait until a little closer and see if the options changed, or if just booking at a particular hotel went down in price. We are now looking again. Any input on what either of these might be? We are not wanting to end up with Kimpton Sir Francis Drake. It just isn't our style. I used the better bidding tool to come up with the below. Union Square East Boutique Hotel 80% recommended 9/15-9/21/2017 4 Star FULL AMENITIES: Boutique hotel, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Golf nearby $176.00 USD per night $25 per night resort fee (Hotwire says last person to book got Hotel G. I don't know if that means we'd end up with the same thing. Thoughts?) Union Square East 85% recommended 9/15-9/21/2017 4 Star FULL AMENITIES: Pet friendly, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access $211 USD per night Thanks!

The "Last person got ___" information is relative to the last person who book a hotel of this star rating in the zone, not necessarily in relation to the hotel currently being offered. Unfortunately i don't have any insight into either of the properties above, but neither seem to have very good TA reviews... what is it exactly that you're looking for in a hotel for this trip and what is your maximum budget (per nite before taxes/fees)? lcmiller25 Posted August 9, 2017 Author Report Posted August 9, 2017 There was a Hotwire deal that came up for $216 with a 90% recommendation rate in Union Square East. The amenities it showed when we booked and the amenities listed in the confirmation were different. When we got the confirmation email it told us we got the Intercontinental. The Intercontinental is not in the Union Square area, it is actually South of Market. Called customer service and they cancelled it for us. CS tried to rebook for us and told us it would be Intercontinental AGAIN. It's a nice hotel, but farther away from where we want to be. We had them cancel it all together and not sure what we will do now. Thanks for the input on helping figure out what we would get.
thereuare Posted August 9, 2017 Report Posted August 9, 2017 Does this purchase still appear in your account when viewing using the MY ACCOUNT >> MY TRIPS (trip details) link near the top right of the HOTWIRE home page? If so, can you please confirm the full hotel name and address of the hotel that is listed there, as well as the full amenities associated with this property (NOTE: if there are any 'accessible' amenities these may be listed in a second block of text under the 'regular' amenities) There are two Intercontinental properties in San Francisco: Intercontinental Mark Hopkins which is in the Union Square East zone Intercontinental San Francisco which is in the South of Market - Moscone Center ... are you sure the won you received thru HOTWIRE with the Union Square East purchase was not the Intercontinental Mark Hopkins? As we will use the topic title of this thread to reflect your purchase (even though canceled) once we have the details above, please start a NEW TOPIC for help with a 'replacement' for this trip.
