tangje Posted June 20, 2017 Report Posted June 20, 2017 Hello, I am trying to identify the following: 3.5* Niagara Falls - Clifton Hills Area June 22 - 23, 2017 $85/night USD Business Center, Restaurant, Indoor or Outdoor Pool, Casino, Fitness Center, No Smoking Rooms/Facilities The Priceline Hotel List does not show a 3.5* Express Deal for this area but there is both a 3* and 4*. My guess is that this is the 4* Sheraton on the Falls but I just wanted to get a second opinion. Thanks.
thereuare Posted June 20, 2017 Report Posted June 20, 2017 Best guess for this PRICELINE EXPRESS (confirm your dates on the landing page of the link below): 3.5* Niagara Falls - Clifton Hills for $85 Business Center Restaurant Indoor or Outdoor Pool Casino Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ==> the Crowne Plaza Niagara Falls-Fallsview would be my best guess here Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
tangje Posted June 20, 2017 Author Report Posted June 20, 2017 Thanks for your reply. I was only looking at the hotels under express deals on the overall list but I guess the offers change so frequently that I should look at all the hotels. I believe you are correct as when I went to checkout it showed: "Mandatory fee of CAD 15.95 per room per stay is collected at the hotel." Some googling revealed that to be the fee charged by the Crowne Plaza. I haven't decided whether to book yet but others should be aware that resort fees (or whatever they want to call them) can be quite useful for identifying properties, at least in Niagara Falls anyway.
thereuare Posted June 20, 2017 Report Posted June 20, 2017 You can use our sister site ResortFee.com for help with any resort fees (search by specific hotel name or by city for a longer list of the entire area) However, note that sometimes the resort fees are shown pre-tax, sometimes after tax, and sometimes is 'stale' in the sense that it's not updated that quickly when a hotel makes a policy change, so while it can help with comparing a hotel that charges a resort fee vs. a hotel that does not charge a resort fee... it's not useful for when one hotel charges $20 and another hotel charges $22. In regards to your Niagara Falls trip is there something in particular that you're looking for in a hotel? tangje Posted March 21, 2018 Author Report Posted March 21, 2018 I didn't end up using Hotwire or Priceline. I needed to be at the Sheraton so I ended up booking it directly since it wasn't clear.
thereuare Posted March 21, 2018 Report Posted March 21, 2018 Thank you for closing this thread with your decision.
