meliss503
Hi, we are taking a road trip this summer. We are considering staying in Seacaucus and riding a bus into NYC to take advantage of free parking at the hotel. There will be 2 adults and 2 kids (7 and 4). 7/22-7/25 $134/night 3-star all suites hotel in seacaucus-meadowlands area Tripadvisor 4 out of 5 (501-1,000 reviews) 90% recommended Free breakfast, free internet, free parking Amenities: business center, fitness center, pet friendly, smoke-free rooms Accessibility: accessible path of travel I think it could be Hyatt Place Seacaucus/Meadowlands due to the number of reviews on TripAdvisor. What are are your thoughts?? Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! I believe there are more amenities then what you have posted above as HOTWIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you search using the EASY VIEW TAB of our BiddingHelper.com tool. (always use this method for your searches/purchases to ensure you're seeing the complete amenity set and for an easy comparison of PRICELINE vs. HOTWIRE, as well as to use our new IS THIS A GOOD PRICE feature). If you repeat your search using our BiddingHelper.com tool... use the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab and then click the GREEN BUTTON next to this listing, do you see more amenities (including any accessible amenities) then what you have listed above? Using this method, below is the full list of amenities i'm seeing for the 3 star hotel in this zone when searching for your dates: 3* HOTWIRE Secaucus - Meadowlands for $134.00 Complimentary Breakfast Free Parking Free Internet Pet Friendly Smoke Free Fitness Business Hi-Speed Internet Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking Roll-in Shower ==> if this is what you're seeing, as per the Hotwire Hotel List this matches previous reports for the Hyatt Place Secaucus Meadowlands so that would be my best guess for this one Do you need to stay in this area for this trip OR are you looking for a less expensive option vs. staying in Manhattan? While this is a nice hotel with very good reviews, i am seeing some options for about $20 more per nite that would enable you to stay directly in Manhattan (although if you're driving parking would be another expense that you would have to account for vs. staying in the Secaucus area) I'm very familiar with this area so feel free to ask any questions that we may able to assist with in helping you make a decision. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
meliss503
Thanks for the feedback! We do not have to stay in Seacaucus. We would prefer to stay out of the city and take advantage of the free parking to save some money on this leg of the trip. The thought of driving in Manhattan is intimidating! We don't mind the bus ride into Manhattan. Is there another area outside of the city we should consider? Link to comment
thereuare
If you're looking for Free Parking then the Secaucus area is a good choice and the Hyatt Place a good option in this area (but stop virtually at the door, restaurants and shopping within walking distance, and free breakfast).
