pnb Posted February 21, 2006 Report Share Posted February 21, 2006 Began bidding for 3 nights from $96 and applied $5 increments (adding Dorado - as I find the Hyatt even more desirable - and Mayaguez Isabella - a free rebid zone), but then had to restrict the bid to 2 nights for a new pass. I was eventually awarded the Westin Rio Mar for $121.As a reference, rate on starwoodhotels.com was $349 at the time of booking, and when I checked-in, occupancy rate was 97%!I also tried unsuccessfully to extend my stay by one night (starwoodhotels.com rate was then higher, at $399, so I suppose a successful PL bid would have also required a higher amount).For information, I did not have to pay any resort fee (although PL told me I would when I checked with them).
