eeyoresmom Posted March 31, 2017 Report Posted March 31, 2017 I need 2 nights, April 27 and April 28, 2017 and would like to increase my odds of getting a Disney hotel, ANY Disney hotel. Does Disney usually release their inventory to PL last minute? When should I be bidding to increase my chances of getting a Disney property? I know to look for "Free Parking" in the amenities. Anything else ? Thanks in advance.
thereuare Posted March 31, 2017 Report Posted March 31, 2017 Welcome to BetterBidding! Until very recently (2 weeks ago) we rarely saw Disney properties offered or won, but in the last 2 weeks we have started to see them offered quite frequently thru PRICELINE EXPRESS and/or HOTWIRE. This could be a new trend and they are here to stay and be reported on frequently... or they could stop appearing some time later today, there is no way to know. With the above noted, when bidding on PRICELINE you need to be willing to accept any hotels at the star rating (or higher) that you bid... there is no way to target (or avoid) a specific property in the zone. If you're trying to target a specific property you would be better served using PRICELINE EXPRESS or HOTWIRE where you can use the information provided to take an educated guess as to the property being offered. Did you have a target budget and/or minimum star rating in mind? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. eeyoresmom Posted March 31, 2017 Author Report Posted March 31, 2017 No budget. I'll keep watching here.
thereuare Posted March 31, 2017 Report Posted March 31, 2017 Of course there is a budget... you wouldn't spend $10K for a hotel room for this nite. ... and your ideal and/or minimum star rating? eeyoresmom Posted April 1, 2017 Author Report Posted April 1, 2017 Ideally I would like to get AKL for around $200 per night, CSR or PO for $120 or any value resort for under $100.
thereuare Posted April 1, 2017 Report Posted April 1, 2017 For whatever reason these are very expensive dates in the area, and at current prices i don't think you are going to find the hotel(s) that you are looking for at these prices. Viewing rates for your dates using our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com, i see the least expensive being the Port Orleans for $239/nite and going up substantially from there... i'm not seeing any Disney properties being offered for your dates thru HOTWIRE or PRICELINE EXPRESS (and given higher than usual prices, occupancy may be high for these dates, and no reason for the hotels to offer deeply discounted rated thru the opaque providers) Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know whatever you decide to do for this trip or how we can be of further help.
