tsviakar Posted March 31, 2017 Author Report Posted March 31, 2017 Thank you very much for your kind reply I've read the reviews of these hotels and they seem quite bad... we are looking for a 4* hotel in either Kensington - Earl's Court/Bloomsbury - Marble Arch - Kings Cross Station & British Museum/Knightsbridge - Harrods/Westminster - Houses of Parliament - Victoria. A 5* would have been great off course but it seems they are much more expensive. do you think maybe these hotels might be a BETTER CHOICE? 1. 4.5-Star Express Deal Hotel Kensington - Earl's Court Area-165$ Business Center Restaurant Airport Shuttle Free Internet Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities 2. 4-Star Express Deal Condo -Bloomsbury - Marble Arch - Kings Cross Station & British Museum Area-163$ Restaurant Free Internet Condo (what do they mean by condo? how is it different from a regular hotel)? No Smoking Rooms/Facilities

AaronJB Posted March 31, 2017 Report Posted March 31, 2017 Please confirm the correct dates of travel are showing on the detail page after clicking the links below. 4.5* Kensington - Earl's Court for $165 Business Center Restaurant Airport Shuttle Free Internet Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities >>>Guess would be the Adria Boutique Hotel. The 2nd listing that is condo would maybe be The Leonard Hotel / Apartments or Saco Holborn - Lamb's Conduit St. Condo would be more of an apartment-style property than a traditional hotel. Would either of these possibilities be of interest? with 8+ customer reviews both listings do get good ratings. thereuare Posted March 31, 2017 Report Posted March 31, 2017 Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread. Once you win a hotel, use the 'ADD REPLY and REPORT WIN' button on the upper right corner of the page to edit the topic title to reflect your win and to provide the details of your purchase. This helps keep the board better organized by reducing the number of unresolved threads that don't have any follow-up or conclusion. What is your maximum budget (per nite before fees/taxes) for this trip? tsviakar Posted April 2, 2017 Author Report Posted April 2, 2017 thank you. I'm sorry for the split I thought I was suppose to post different posts for hotwire and priceline the maximum budget is around 150$
thereuare Posted April 2, 2017 Report Posted April 2, 2017 8 hours ago, tsviakar said: the maximum budget is around 150$ Is this your real budget... as you're requesting help for quite a few properties above that are over and above this amount. tsviakar Posted April 2, 2017 Author Report Posted April 2, 2017 That's the budget I would like to spend but I see the hotels at this range are getting bad reviews so I would spend up to 175 for a really good hotel
thereuare Posted April 3, 2017 Report Posted April 3, 2017 How about the following (confirm your dates on the landing pages of the provided links): 4* Mayfair - Soho for $154 Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ==> best guess would be the Strand Palace Hotel I will also highlight this previously listed/guessed hotel: 4* Westminster - Houses of Parliament - Victoria for $112 Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ==> guessed to be the Park Plaza London Riverbank Maybe the first one (new to this thread) will be acceptable for your needs, but i'll comment that the one above does have some redeeming/positive qualities. Hotels in London are typically very expensive and when guests pay a lot they often expect a lot (sometimes with unrealistic expectations), so if you're looking for a hotel that only has positive reviews and no negative reviews, you're not likely going to find it at the 4* level (and quite possibly not at the 4.5* level either)... instead i would try to focus on the overall reviews and if the majority of guests are pleased with the stay or not. For example, using the TA information for the Park Plaza Riverbank as an example where you labeled this property in 'the reviews are bad', about 75% of users users rated this property as 'very good or excellent'... and 90%+ considered it 'average or better'; for close to $100/nite for a London hotel (when including the extra discount offered using our PRICELINE EXPRESS link) it may not be the best hotel in London, but it may be an excellent value at this price. Let us know if the new first property, or if a second look at the guessed Park Plaza Riverbank, would work for your needs. EDIT TO ADD: also just saw this HOTWIRE offer if you're wiling to increase your budget a little (includes breakfast so maybe that gives you justification to stretch your budget a bit since it may actually bring your overall costs down): 4* HOTWIRE Westminster - Victoria - Big Ben for $181.00 Complimentary Breakfast Free Internet Fitness Laundry Hi-Speed Internet Kitchenette ==> my guess here would be the Staybridge Suites London - Vauxhall which has an excellent 5/5 TA rating Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
