BfmLa9
Dates:4/2/2017 to 4/8/2017 First time in London with no particular preference for zones; since will take tube to take in the sights. Can you please identify these hotels and perhaps recommend the best one? Thank you. Westminster - Victoria - Big Ben - 4* $145 per night 10 out of 10 Top rated! (5 reviews) Trip Advisor (2001+ reviews) FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access VS. 4-star Hotel in Notting Hill - Bayswater - Paddington Station area - there are 3 different hotels on Bidding Helper for around $120? How do I tell the difference without user ratings and match it to the one on Hotwire.com ? 9 out of 10 Favorite! thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! Let's backtrack a moment so that we can best zero in on what it is that you are looking for in a hotel for this trip... 22 minutes ago, BfmLa9 said: no particular preference for zones; since will take tube to take in the sights. So if you don't really care which zone you are located in, what are the most important criteria that you are looking for in regards to a hotel... star rating, budget, amenities, etc? Of all the hotels offered on your search what specifically was it that made you inquire about the ones above? BfmLa9
I was trying to get a 4* hotel with a high Hotwire rating. Does the high rating really correlate with the quality of the hotel, or is the tripadvisor rating a better gauge of the hotel's quality? If I know which hotel it is, then I will choose one closest to the tube for getting around town. Link to comment
thereuare
The hotels above only have a handful of reviews so i would not put too much weight in them (and with so few reviews they are likely new to the HOTWIRE system and we may not have much insight into them). Would any of the following be of interest (our best guess is listed below each... confirm your dates on the landing pages of any provided links): 4* Notting Hill - Paddington Station Area for $99 Restaurant Free Internet Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ==> Hilton London Metropole 4* Regents Park - Baker Street - Camden Market for $119 Business Center Free Internet Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ==> Holiday Inn London-Camden Lock 4* Bloomsbury - Marble Arch - Kings Cross Station & British Museum for $124 Business Center Restaurant Free Internet No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ==> Holiday Inn Bloomsbury 4* Westminster - Houses of Parliament - Victoria for $137 Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ==> Park Plaza County Hall London (although The Nadler Victoria would be a possible, but less likely, outcome) 4* Mayfair - Soho for $140 Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ==> Strand Palace Hotel Any of these work for your needs? BfmLa9
I was going to make a purchase for the 4* Notting Hill - Paddington Station Area for $99 ==> Hilton London Metropole. But by the time I tried to purchase, it was already unavailable. I guess you have to be really fast! Link to comment
thereuare
Sometimes the offers can remain the same from the time of your first search until your check-in... other times you will see offers quickly disappear from one search to the next. Do any of the other PRICELINE EXPRESS properties above work for your needs? BfmLa9
I liked the Hilton London Metropole, so I ended up purchasing it during the flash sale for just a little bit more than PRICELINE. Thanks for your help, and I appreciate the advice! Link to comment
