ChasityB
I'm so happy I've found this site! I'm trying to book some rooms in New Orleans for 14 ladies for a bachelorette party. The dates are April 21-23, 2017, Bourbon/ French Quarter area, but willing to also book in the downtown areas. Just so we are able to walk to Bourbon Street and the French Quarter areas is our main concern. I've read so much on this site the last few days, I think I'm in brain overload. How do I go about bids and we are trying to keep the prices no more than $150 per person total with taxes. Thanks in advance. 2-3 people per room. Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding... we're glad you found us too! Few points to consider before moving forward... PRICELINE (bidding) only guarantees double occupancy, after that it's at the discretion of the hotel, and you could receive a room with only one bed. While you can call the hotel you win and request a room with two beds, the hotel may not be able, or willing, to honor your request. If the above is not an acceptable risk you still do have other options... HOTWIRE allows you to search for up to quad occupancy and ensures sleeping accommodations for everyone that you include in your search. While this usually means two beds in the room, the second 'bed' could be a pullout sofabed, rollaway brought into the room, etc. As well, sometimes (more often lately than not) HOTWIRE and PRICELINE EXPRESS will show a 'Bed Choice' option where you can select the bed type during the check-out process... if you can find an offer that shows two beds as one of the choices then that could be an option as well (technically PRICELINE reservations are still for double occupancy, but i don't know of any situations where a user has had a problem showing up with up to quad occupancy if the room type booked is made to accommodate that many guests) Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know your thoughts on the above so that we have an idea of what is/isn't acceptable and we'll take it from there.
