AaronJB Posted March 7, 2017 Report Posted March 7, 2017 Welcome to Betterbidding. I think there may be more amenities than you have included above. If you repeat your search using our BiddingHelper tool and look in the EASY VIEW TAB, do you see additional amenities beyond those listed above? If so, please confirm the full amenity set and we would be happy to take a look. I'm seeing: 4.5* Magnificent Mile - Water Tower for $90.00 Pet Friendly Boutique Indoor Pool Smoke Free Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Spa Childrens Activities ==> Possible match for the W Lakeshore. 4* Magnificent Mile - Water Tower for $94.00 Free Internet Smoke Free Fitness Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Roll-in Shower ==> A guess would be the Cambria. I'm quite familiar with Chicago and would be very happy to offer suggestions if you let us know more about what you are looking for (acceptable zones, desire budget and any other factors.) Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
Brew33 Posted March 7, 2017 Author Report Posted March 7, 2017 Thank you! Yes, when I pulled them up in the easy view tab it showed the amenities your provided. When I searched on hotwires website it only gave me the ones I listed, my apologies. I was hoping for a hotel closer to the river for st. Pattys day, so I will not be booking one of these two. I would like to spend $135 or less. Do you have any suggestions for hotels closer to the river?
thereuare Posted March 7, 2017 Report Posted March 7, 2017 How about our best guess for each of the following offers (confirm your dates on the landing page of any provided links): 4.5* Downtown - River North for $99 Pets Allowed Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ==> The James Chicago 4* Magnificent Mile -Gold Coast for $104 Pets Allowed Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ==> this might be the Sheraton Grand (this is my guess, but i'm far from certain) 4.5* Downtown Chicago - Millennium Park for $96 Pets Allowed Business Center Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ==> The Fairmont Chicago One of the above work for your needs? AaronJB Posted March 7, 2017 Report Posted March 7, 2017 In my opinion, the James would be the easy choice, as that puts you within easy walking distance of the river, easy walking distance to River North restaurants and a block from Michigan Ave. The Fairmont is also not far from the River (slightly South of the River), but the James and its location slightly North of the river is preferable. The W Lakeshore isn't really that far South of the River, but the James would be a better location and nicer hotel for a very similar price. If the $104 above is the Sheraton, that is on the river, but the James would be a nicer hotel within easy walking distance. Let us know if you have any Chicago city questions. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
Brew33 Posted March 7, 2017 Author Report Posted March 7, 2017 Thank you both for your help! Are you both certain that one is The James? That looks like a great choice if it is.
thereuare Posted March 7, 2017 Report Posted March 7, 2017 From the Priceline Express hotel list you will see that the The James has previously been seen with this amenity set. We can't see the hotel name either, so there are never any guarantees, but if you read other users requests/responses on the board you will see that we have a very good track record. While i think our guess above is correct, should it be wrong, what is the downside... a 4.5* hotel in Chicago with a 4.5/5.0 TA rating for less than $100/nite (not a bad consolation prize) Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
