You can't guarantee two beds in each room... all that is guaranteed thru Priceline is a room that can accomodate double occupancy. You can call the hotel after you win your hotel and request rooms with two beds... but it is not guaranteed and just a request. Whether or not the hotel accomodates you will be based upon a number of factors, the greatest being occupancy for your dates.

If you can't accept the above conditions then priceline may not be the best option for your stay. You can try Hotwire which will allow you to search for up to quad occupancy per room, but usually costs a bit more than Priceline.

Let us know your thoughts on the above and we'll advise accordingly.

We'll suggest a strategy, but first... why do you keep lowering your maximum bid? (getting to the point where you're taking yourself out of the realistic possibility of success)

In the first post you replied to the user had won at $55, above you mention a max of $53, and now you're lowering that to $48. How much will you be paying if you're not successful with Priceline?

We will suggest a strategy that makes sure you don't overbid, so let us know your true maximum bid and we'll suggest how to move forward.

... and i'm assuming that it would be a lesser quality hotel than you could get for that money thru Priceline or Hotiwre.

So why would you limit your bid to $48 for a 3* hotel, for if you're unsuccessful, you'll then be paying $70-90 for a lower quality hotel?

It's not a question of knowing if $53 would be too low or not, it's weighing your options and saving time. The strategies we suggest are designed to make sure you don't overbid, so if your 'next best alternative' is a lesser quality hotel for $80, i don't understand why you would make your limit $50 for a higher quality hotel.

I'm trying to avoid researching prices for this date, have you fail at $53 (or whatever figure you decide), then say, "OK, i'll go to $55"... then have us research the prices once again and update things for your new maximum bid". Then if that fails you increase your bid by a few more dollars and we go thru the whole process again.
