Megan2981 Posted February 9, 2017 Report Posted February 9, 2017 I would like some help identifying the hotel associated with the Priceline Express Deal. Details As Stated on Deal: - 5* - Las Vegas ... The Strip - Northeast - March 17 - March 20 - King Bed - Nonsmoking Room - $216/night, 1 King Bed Nonsmoking Room - $269/night, Nonsmoking Tower Suite - $294/night, Nonsmoking Suite - $887/night - Business Center, Restaurant, Indoor or Outdoor Pool, Casino, Fitness Center, No Smoking Rooms/Facilities - 9+ Exceptional Hotel - "Luxurious hotel, amazing room and pool, nice casino, beautiful music everywhere." - Additional Mandatory Fee $105 My guess is either The Venetian or Palazzo, but I'm not sure. I'm going for either of those, don't want Wynn or Encore. Any thoughts? Thanks! Also, wanted to make mention that the hotel lists for Hotwire seem to be outdated. On Hotwire, the 5* hotels listed on the North Strip area have sub categories, Fashion Show Mall Area and Grand Canal Shoppes Area. Not sure if you have any further information on that, but it may be helpful moving forward to have those hotels listed in the appropriate sub category.
thereuare Posted February 9, 2017 Report Posted February 9, 2017 The above is a brand new zone for HOTWIRE (changed within the last few days, probably in response to PRICELINE's new zones for this area) Earlier this week we updated all of the PRICELINE zones on the board to be consistent with priceline, we are now in the process of doing the same for HOTWIRE (although as you might imagine it's a big undertaking) and will add this zone to the list. When seeking PRICELINE EXPRESS (and HOTWIRE) help please also include the amenities associated with the property as that is what will most differentiate one property from the next. I'm seeing the following offer (confirm your dates on the landing page of the provided link) but no room choices associated with the hotel (and with no amenity information can't say if it's the same one that you're seeing above, but at least this one is cheaper): 5* The Strip - Northeast for $212 Business Center Restaurant Indoor or Outdoor Pool Casino Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ==> best guess for this property would be the Wynn or The Venetian (i can't say with certainty which) If you're not aware, this weekend is opening weekend of the NCAA March Madness Basketball tournament (although not held in Vegas it's a big Vegas event as there are 96 basketball games (with wagering on each) taking place over a 4 day period) as well as a big conference (46K attendees) starting on the 19th. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
TheSandwich Posted February 9, 2017 Report Posted February 9, 2017 I am looking at booking the north strip for either the Venetian/Palazzo or Wynn/Encore as well. I am working under the following assumptions. I am looking at booking for April 16-21, 4 days, non-weekend. When I price out the Venetian for that time on Priceline I get the following: Room Cost (details)$166.65 Rooms1 Nights4 Room Subtotal$666.60 Taxes & Fees$87.16 Total Priceline Charges$753.76 Misc. Fee*$20.88 Resort Fee*$156.00 Fees Subtotal*$176.88 Total Cost$930.64 I highlighted the Resort Fee Total because it is $176.88 which coresponds to a Express deal for the same time, 4/16 - 4/21 and the express deal pricing is: Summary Of Charges Price per Night:$113 Rooms:1 Nights:4 Room Subtotal:$452.00 Trip Protection:$0.00 Taxes and Fees:$87.68 Priceline Total Charges:$539.68All prices are in USD. Additional Mandatory Fee:$176.88----This fee is collected at the hotel Total Price:$716.56 That is the only 5 Star - Northeast Strip hotel available for my dates. Trump is Northwest (no Casino, so easy to spot, under the old zones) So the cost per night for their fee matches at $44.22/ night. When I search the Wynn, for 3 nights on Priceline I get $140 for my dates, which constitutes 4 days. So, $35 per night. + their Misc fees $18.72. The misc Fees are exactly 13.37% which just so happens to be the exact % of taxes charges on hotel rooms in Vegas. According to your express deal, for 3 nights they are charging your $105, so $35/night. Long story short, if your priceline express deal shows a Additional Mandatory fee or resort fee, or whatever of a certain amount, you can probably narrow it down. Wynn/Encore = $35/night + 13.37% = $39.68 Venetian/Palazzo = $44.22/night I currently live in Vegas and swear by betterbidding for all my hotel needs. Hope this helps
Megan2981 Posted February 13, 2017 Author Report Posted February 13, 2017 Thank you for the help! We are aware that March Madness will be going on during the dates, that is why we are going. We go yearly, always fun, love the crowds! Since we don't want to stay at Wynn/Encore, I elected to hold out on taking the deal. I'll update the page with all the proper information once we've booked and know where we will be staying. Sandwich, thank you for the tips on the mandatory room rates, that is extremely helpful!
