tylermccarville
Hello, I'm currently looking at a Priceline Express Deal for a 4.5* hotel in the Southeast section of the Las Vegas strip. In the description, it lists business center, restaurant, free internet, indoor or outdoor pool, fitness center, non-smoking, and casino. The casino part is what is throwing me off, because when I look at their daily deals list and the list on Better Bidding, the only hotels that I see that match that description are Elara and The Signature. Neither of those hotels technically have a casino. Are they counting the casino at the MGM Grand as the casino for The Signature? Thanks, Tyler Link to comment
AaronJB
I'm seeing on PRICELINE EXPRESS (please confirm that the dates of travel are correct after clicking on the link below.) 4.5* The Strip - Southeast for $79 Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Casino Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities >>>This would be a possible match for the Signature at MGM Grand. Would this possibility be of interest? If not, let us know more about what you are looking for and we would be happy to offer additional suggestions. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. tylermccarville
Hi Aaron, Thanks for your response. This is indeed the deal that I'm looking at. Now that I look closer at The Signature's Priceline page, I do see that they list "casino" as one of the amenities. Which is strange, in my opinion, since it's not technically a casino property. But they must count the MGM Grand as the casino, which is a bit shady if you ask me. Link to comment
thereuare
If the above doesn't work for your needs, what is it that you are looking for and what is your maximum budget (per nite before fees/taxes) for this trip? tylermccarville
I'm looking for a 4.5* hotel with a casino onsite. The price listed above is more than reasonable, although that doesn't include taxes and resort fee. Link to comment
AaronJB
This is the cheapest 4.5* or higher option with casino as an amenity for this night. While it's understandable that you would rather have a casino on-site, are you okay with going over $100 a night? If so: 5* The Strip - Central West for $106 Restaurant Indoor or Outdoor Pool Casino Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities >>>This would be a possible match for the Cosmo. Let us know your thoughts and we would be happy to research and offer other suggestions. Thank you for keeping us updated and let us know if you have any questions before booking. tylermccarville
I ended up booking the $79 4.5* and got The Signature. I called Priceline and they confirmed with the property that they are non-gaming. I hope Priceline changes this amenity, so in the future, others don't have this same issue. Link to comment
thereuare
Thank you for sharing your win/experience with the board. The MGM casino is connected to the Signature using an indoor walkway, since you can walk to the casino without going outdoors, it allows PRICELINE (as per their current definition) to use the Casino amenity in the description. With PRICELINE confirming that the property is non-gaming, did they offer you a refund and/or discount to keep the purchase (and if so what did you decide to do)... or at this price this hotel will work for your needs and you decided not to pursue it any further? tylermccarville
From what I can tell, they are reconsidering that amenity since the property themselves describes it as a "non-gaming hotel." Which in my opinion, they should. Hallway or not, they are truly not a gaming property. But, I'll be interested to see if that actually changes anything though. Priceline was apologetic about the mishap, offered a full refund, and provided me with a coupon code towards a future reservation. I rebooked at another casino and will post my results in another thread. Link to comment
AaronJB
Thank you for the follow-up. Nice to see that PRICELINE still behind the details of their offer and that you were able to get a refund plus a coupon to use to re-book. Thank you for posting the result as a separate thread.
