kanguyen Posted January 11, 2017 Report Posted January 11, 2017 I started with bidding $72 for three stars, which was rejected. Then change bid to $80 and added 2.5* option and got Red Lion Inn.
thereuare Posted January 11, 2017 Report Posted January 11, 2017 Congratulations on your success and thank you for sharing your win with the board. For the future note that it's not a good ideal to lower your star rating and raise your bid at the same time, as it could result in an overbid. For example, if a 2.5* hotel was available at $72/nite (or even a lower price) you never gave yourself a chance to win it for less since your first bid at the 2.5* was for $80. Feel free to ask the board for help before the next time you bid on a hotel and we will suggest a bidding strategy for you to follow.
