justinmalk Posted August 30, 2016 Report Posted August 30, 2016 Stay 1/17 - 1/20 Any thoughts if it is likely to be The Westin Palace, Hospes Puerta de Alcalá or NH Collection Palacio de Tepa ? 9/10 Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Thanks
thereuare Posted August 31, 2016 Report Posted August 31, 2016 Please post rates on a per nite basis before taxes/fees as this keeps all rates posted to the board consistent. I'm seeing this 5* Prado - Museum - Gran Via hotel for $138/nite with: Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ==> if this is what you're seeing, best guess for this one would be the NH Collection Madrid Palacio de Tepa Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. PS- please also follow-up your previous Copenhagen hotel thread with your current thoughts or any decision you have made for that leg of your trip. Can you please further reply to your thread linked above as to the current status... have you canceled the trip, made other plans, or still looking for a room for that stay? For this 5* Prado - Museum - Gran Via (confirm your dates on the landing page) for $183 Pets Allowed Restaurant Free Internet Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ==> my guess would be the Hospes Puerta de Alcalá 6 hours ago, justinmalk said: Is Madrid too risky given number and variety of 5* I don't think so... but ultimately it's you that needs to be comfortable with your purchase. With the offer above having a 'very good' 8+ user review rating, it should provide for a very nice experience, so what risk is it that you're concerned with? Your original request in this thread (no longer offered) was believed to be the NH Collection Madrid Palacio de Tepa, which gets excellent reviews... so what was the concern with that one when it was available? justinmalk Posted November 27, 2016 Author Report Posted November 27, 2016 5-star Boutique Hotel in City Centre - Gran Via - Sol - Plaza Mayor - La Latina area 85% recommended 4.5/5 TA Free internet Boutique hotel, Business centre, childrens activities, restarutant. Prices are high in my period of stay due to tourism fair. Happy with result during HOTWIRE black friday sale.
sequitur Posted December 28, 2016 Report Posted December 28, 2016 I'm looking at different dates (April 8-15, with 2 adults/2 children), but getting similar search result as original post: 85% recommended 4.5/5 TA (1001-1500 reviews) But the rest of the parameters aren't even close: Free Internet, Pet friendly, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Accessible path of travel price is $206/night, but I'm also concerned with the bed choices, which don't seem to correspond to my request for 4 people ("king, 2 twin, or hotel's choice", none of which would sleep 4). Any thoughts? The Principal Madrid shows up on a Kayak search for $1043/night, so I can't imagine I'd ever be that lucky.
