Schorschi226 Posted November 16, 2016 Report Posted November 16, 2016 Hi, can someone please help me identify this Express deal? I know its a little bit early to book... but is it too early? Do you have any experience if this is a reasonable price or can be assumed that it will decrease even further? Las Vegas North Strip 06/12 - 06/14/17 168$/night Free Parking Business Center Restaurant Indoor or Outdoor Pool Casino Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Exceptional 9+ /10 "Luxurious hotel, amazing room and pool, nice casino, beautiful music everywhere." Thanks!
thereuare Posted November 16, 2016 Report Posted November 16, 2016 Welcome to BetterBidding! There is no way to know if rates will come down, or move even higher, between now and your stay. However, not only is their 'rate risk' (of the price moving higher/lower), but there is also inventory risk... if you like the hotel currently offered, there is the risk that the property disappears from the inventory entirely and leaves you with something that you're not as happy with. If you see a good deal and it's at a property you'd like to stay at, i'd suggest comparing to the current 'regular retail rate' and see how much of a discount it is to current rates to determine if it's enough of a discount to make it worthwhile to lock in now or not. Are you still seeing the property above priced at $168/nite... as i'm seeing the amenity set above for a 5* hotel in this zone priced at $142/nite (before fees/taxes); do you currently seeing the lower price i am seeing? Is there a specific hotel you're hoping to target or avoid? Schorschi226 Posted November 16, 2016 Author Report Posted November 16, 2016 Thanks for fast reply! well its kind of strange. I'm also seeing the price $142/night behind the "Choose Bed" Option but in the "Summary of Charges" it states $168/night (see below) Im not sure which price will be taken when proceeding the reservation. Choose Bed: Room Assigned At Check-In - Sleeps Two Adults - 1 Bed Requested. $142/night Room Assigned At Check-In - Sleeps Two Adults $142/night Summary Of Charges Price per Night:$168 Rooms:1 Nights:2 Room Subtotal:$284.00 Taxes and Fees:$52.48 Priceline Total Charges:$336.48 I suggest that it will be the Wynn or Palazzo? Both would be great. BR
thereuare Posted November 16, 2016 Report Posted November 16, 2016 I'm currently seeing a price of $142/nite on both the offer page and the purchase page, with: Free Parking Business Center Restaurant Indoor or Outdoor Pool Casino Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ==> for this one i'd favor the Wynn as being the most likely, but as you point out, the Palazzo, and even the Encore, would be a possibilities as well I'm currently seeing The Wynn (for your dates) at $259/nite (the Palazzo is at $249/nite), so assuming our guess above is correct, you're looking at $100+ per nite savings... worth it to you to lock this in now? Schorschi226 Posted November 17, 2016 Author Report Posted November 17, 2016 Now I'm also getting the price $142/night. I think I will book that one :-). Is there a difference in choosing one of the "Bed Options" shown above? For me they seem to be the same, right? Thanks!
thereuare Posted November 17, 2016 Report Posted November 17, 2016 With the first one a request for 1 bed would be included with your reservation... i suppose if you were seeking 2 beds the second option may give you a slightly better chance of that happening.
