ManUnited
Hello First of all Thumbs Up to this web portal, what an amazing site. First time bidding for hotel, please help me identify this Hotel in Vegas Strip North 5* Vegas Strip North Casino Hotel Dec 17-19 $102/nt $78.40 due at hotel. Awesome 9/10 rating Free Parking, Business Center, Fitness, Pool, Casino, No Smoking. Reading the forum, I made a guess ; could be Palazzo (based on 9/10 rating). Also want to ask, if hotels allow upgrade if i get from Express Deals, dnt wish to end up in some bad room. Please help me identiy this Thank You in advance Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! (and thanks for the compliments on the site! ) Is there also a Restaurant amenity listed for the PRICELINE EXPRESS hotel above as this is what i'm seeing for the 5* hotel in the Strip North zone at $102/nite when searching for your dates: Free Parking Business Center Restaurant Indoor or Outdoor Pool Casino Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities If the above is what you're seeing, the Palazzo would be my best guess, although there is an outside chance of the Wynn or Encore. As far as a bad room, i'm stayed at the Palazzo (and the Venetian which is a nearly identical sister property) multiple times and there is not a bad room in the house, imo. Of course some rooms may have a strip view vs. a mountain view vs. a pool view... but it truly is a remarkable property with their 'standard' suite rooms. If you're looking for an upgrade you can ask at check-in (or try to tip the front desk if you're so inclined) but it is very dependent upon a LOT of factors... occupancy levels during your stay, what is available at time of check-in, mood of the front desk clerk, etc. Sometimes you can get an upgrade just for asking, sometimes you're offered an upgrade for an additional price, sometimes it's just not possible (either due to the front desk clerk not wanting to do extra work OR the hotel is simply full and an upgrade is not available). However, i will add that you're going to Vegas during a relatively slow period, so your chances are certainly much better than if there was a large convention in town, but with so many factors involved the possibility of an upgrade is never guaranteed. ManUnited
I am ready to book via PRICELINE But willing to ask a question, if anyone could help me Palazzo is offering $150 resort credit for booking 2 nights, is it also available if i book via Priceline Express deal ? Priceline customer support didnt help. They only reply for previously made reservations. Thank You Link to comment
thereuare
No, you would not likely be eligible for the resort fee credit. However, i will point out that the current $189/nite rate for the promotion above comes to $423 before resort fees vs. the PRICELINE EXPRESS offer at $242 before resort fees. So even with their promo you pay more and are tied in to using the resort credit at their property... the PRICELINE EXPRESS offer is cheaper and you get to eat dinner whever you'd like (and not spend $150 on meals/entertainment if you choose not to) Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. ManUnited
I was about to get that Express Deal but noticed something about the resort fee $78.40 for 2 nights and found out that its a fee for Wynn. Palazzo would be just $71.68 I might be wrong, plz advice me, I would appreciate it highly. Thank You Link to comment
ManUnited
Resort fee of Wynn is $35, with tax it would be $39.2 and for 2 nights $78.40 so that express deal is Wynn not Palazzo. Hopefully another way to ID the hotel. Thanks Link to comment
ManUnited
Did everything I could to figue out Wynn v Palazzo. Most placed I ended up with Wynn suggestion but same listing is $97 on Hotwire which is definitely Wynn. I still feel its Palazzo. I do not wish to stay at Wynn. Whats your final say, Wynn or Palazzo ? I am ready to grab this deal. Thank You Link to comment
thereuare
See this link to the Palazzo where if you look at the resort fee (within the room type) you'll see it listed at $39.20... same as The Wynn (regardless, the resort fees change frequently and HOTWIRE usually does not update immediately, so not a reliable indicator to use, imo) I'll stick with my guess of the Palazzo, but can't exclude the Wynn as a possibility, so if you're unwilling to stay at the Wynn (for ~$100/nite) then i wouldn't use PRICELINE EXPRESS for this stay. ManUnited
I m sorry to bother again, Is there a way to find out what kind of room would be provided for these HOTWIRE deal bookings(contacting hotel may be)? Or they would only be known at Check-In only? Thanks Link to comment
AaronJB
HOTWIRE and PRICELINE bookings are for regular/non-upgraded rooms. You can call the hotel to ask about room assignment and see what they say. Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance and enjoy your stay in Vegas.
