wheninrome Posted November 6, 2016 Report Posted November 6, 2016 Max budget would be about $275-$300. 2 adults and 2 kids in one room. two adults in another. Convenience to central park playground would be ideal. Also considering being close to rockefeller as well to see the sights and sounds of Christmas. Please help me figure out the options. Would like a 4 or 5 star hotel if we could be so lucky! 4 or 5 * New York Central Park South Rockefeller December 2- December 5th $250-$300

AaronJB Posted November 6, 2016 Report Posted November 6, 2016 Welcome to Betterbidding. Unfortunately, this is one of the busiest periods of the year and one of the most expensive. Unfortunately, a 5* under $300 is not possible given how busy a period this is. The other issue is that in NYC, quad occupancy is generally more expensive, given NYC's small rooms - rooms with more than 1 bed are almost always a paid upgrade. PRICELINE EXPRESS does not guarantee 2 beds unless the listing offers a bed choice option and 2 beds is noted as an option. HOTWIRE should result in 2 beds if you search for more than 2 people, but that may mean 2 beds, 1 + rollaway or 1 + sofabed. Occasionally HOTWIRE listings do offer bed choice. Some of the listings that I'm seeing around or under $300 in Midtown when looking: PRICELINE EXPRESS (please confirm that you are seeing the correct dates of travel on the landing page after clicking on the links below.) 4.5* Midtown East for $306 Pets Allowed Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities >>> Likely the Benjamin. There is a bed choice option for $321 that is a Deluxe Studio w/1 King. You would have to ask if a rollaway is possible (no guarantees), but this would be a larger .room. 4* Rockefeller Center - Bryant Park for $284 Pets Allowed Business Center Restaurant Free Internet No Smoking Rooms/Facilities >>>Possible City Club. 4.5* Rockefeller Center - Bryant Park for $334 Pets Allowed Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities >>>Possible Omni Berkshire. 4* Central Park South for $271 Pets Allowed Restaurant Free Internet No Smoking Rooms/Facilities >>>Possible Dream. 4* Empire State Building Area for $231 Restaurant Free Internet No Smoking Rooms/Facilities >>>A little further away but a more reasonable option. Not certain, but the Arlo Nomad would be a guess. How much is the listing in question on HOTWIRE in the Rockefeller Center zone? Are you searching for 2 rooms and 4 adults/2 children? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
wheninrome Posted November 6, 2016 Author Report Posted November 6, 2016 I was actually searching for two rooms two adults =) Im not worried about double beds as the two kids are small, 1year old and 5 year old and if we are given one king...that would work too. Really thinking about convenience more at this point due to it being chilly and having small kids with us. 4.5-star New To Hotwire Hotel in Rockefeller Center area Return to resultsFri, Dec 02 - Mon, Dec 05 2 Rooms, 2 Adults 90% recommended (225) Favorite! AaronJB Posted November 6, 2016 Report Posted November 6, 2016 I think there may be more amenities than you have included above. If you repeat your search using our BiddingHelper tool and look in the EASY VIEW TAB, do you see additional amenities beyond those listed above? If so, please confirm the full amenity set and we would be happy to take a look. When I search for 2 rooms/4 adults for these dates, in Rockefeller Center, I'm seeing at the 4.5* level 4.5* Rockefeller: $324 Smoke-free rooms, Business center, Internet access, Golf nearby, Spa services, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Wheelchair accessible, Accessible bathroom >>>The Lotte New York Palace has been seen with this amenity set previously, so that would be my guess. 4.5* Rockefeller $309 Restaurant, Smoke Free, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Laundry, Golf, Childrens Activities, Deaf Accessible, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Wheelchair Accessible, Pet Friendly >>>No guess, but a 4.5/5 tripadvisor rating is showing on the detail page so this property certainly does get very good reviews. 4.5* Rockefeller $310 Pet friendly, Boutique hotel, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Kitchenette, Spa services >>>Uncertain, but a guess would be the Benjamin with a new amenity set. In terms of the potential Benjamin, the same thing for slightly less on PRICELINE EXPRESS (again, please confirm that the correct date/s of travel are showing after clicking on the link below.) 4.5* Midtown East for $306 Pets Allowed Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities >>>Likely the Benjamin. A mini-fridge in rooms at the Benjamin is always nice (leftovers, snacks/drinks, etc) and the rooms here are somewhat larger than average (as NYC goes..)
