Thank you in advance! I have been stuck trying to figure it out because nothing is matching. Some I thought were, but say they are sold out already. And I also thought it was Palmer house but that was discovered on a different one. It is for my friends birthday so I want it to be good!

4* Hotel Chicago (Navy Pier-Millenium Park)

$106... 11/12/16-11/13/16

Hey everyone, just wanted to check on this one too. I really want this location because it will be perfect for my friends birthday surprises but I kind of would prefer not to have the W lakeshore if possible. I know that hotel is listed as a 4.5 Star but I swear I have gotten it before on a 4* haha.

Here are the listed amenities on Hotwire: 95% recommended

- Business Center

- Fitness Center

- Golf Nearby

- Indoor Pool

- Internet Access

- Pet Friendly

- Restaurants

- Smoke Free rooms

Thank you in advance again everyone!

Welcome to Betterbidding.

In terms of this being for your friend's birthday, would your friend like a particular style of hotel? I think the concern that I have in terms of this being a birthday is that if you are looking in the Loop, parts of the Loop are awfully quiet later at night, so it's not like River North where there are a lot of restaurants and nightlife right there.

For HOTWIRE listings, please go to BiddingHelper.com, search for your dates, then click on "Hotwire Easy View". Clicking on "Full Amenities" next to the listing in question shows the complete list of amenities.

4* Navy Pier-MP $106 Restaurant, Pool, Indoor Pool, Fitness, Smoke Free, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Golf, Pet Friendly

>>> Likely the Sheraton Grand. Very nice location, but kind of a "convention hotel".

4* Loop $109 Pet friendly, Boutique hotel, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Internet access, Golf nearby, Spa services, Accessible bathroom, Roll-in shower

>>>I'll guess this is likely the Allegro, with the Central Loop hotel being a much lesser possibility. Both possibilities have little going on around them later at night.

4* Loop $103 Pet friendly, Boutique hotel, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Golf nearby, Spa services

>>>Best guess would be W City Center. Again, a hotel in a spot where there's little going on later at night.

On PRICELINE EXPRESS, I see:

4.5* Chicago Loop - Grant Park for $129 (please confirm after clicking on the link that the correct date is showing)
Pets Allowed
Business Center
Restaurant
Free Internet

>>> This would likely be the newer Hyatt Centric The Loop. Again, location is not going to have much going on at night, but newer hotel that gets great reviews.

What would be your desired budget per night for this stay? Is there a particular location of interest? Are there more than 2 people in the room (and are you going to need more than one bed?)

Let us know more about what you are looking for and I'd be happy to research further and offer additional suggestions.

oh wow thanks! I wasn't expecting such an elaborate response haha.

It is only going to be us two in the room, one bed is fine. It is my boyfriend, I dont know why i put friend haha. We have plans to meet people out at places not around there anyway so that aspect isnt as big of a deal. I do think we are going to Siena Tavern for dinner, so I wanted to be semi near there. We will probably have some time to just sit and relax in the room too.

We have stayed at the Hyatt Regency on Wacker many times and I like that location, especially easier for parking. We can cab it anywhere we need to go. I don't want to be too far in the loop (like near jackson or anything south of that) since I do like the river north area. But I also want to only spend like $110 before taxes on the room, since I have a lot of other things to spend money on haha.

Not a problem.

If you liked the location of the Hyatt, I'd go with the Sheraton. At the Hyatt, if you cross the street and go a little bit East, there is a staircase on the other side of the street that goes down to the bridge below. If you walk across that bridge, you're at the Sheraton. The Sheraton is a little bit of a "convention" hotel in the same manner as the Hyatt is, but if that kind of hotel works for the occasion and you like the location, then the Sheraton would be a fine choice. Some rooms at the Sheraton do face the river, which would be a nice view and something worth asking about at check-in (or trying to call and see if you can work something out before the stay.) The Sheraton used to have more in the way of lake views as well, although given the fact that the Loews Hotel has been put up square next to the Sheraton, some of those lake views are no longer but another option to ask about.

Otherwise, options under $110 are definitely in the Loop - the W and potential Allegro are in the West Loop, as is the Hyatt Centric.  I also see what may be the Residence Inn Loop within your budget and that does get good reviews, but again, also over in that West Loop area.

Thank you for keeping us updated on what you decide and please let us know if you have any additional questions before booking.
