I'm looking for a post-cruise on May 21, 2006 in Miami Downtown. Hotwire had one listed as follows, Restaurant, pool, fitness, internet, business, laundry icons...this also said customer favorite. The price for that date was $128 + tax...total $152. I know that hotel is very expensive, so that may be a good deal. I guess I'm really out of the loop with the price of things these days or I'm just not doing something right. Anyway, thanks for any information you can give me and I will let you know what I book one way or the other. Trying to make an informed decision. I appreciate the help.

Just booked the Intercontinental for 1 night post-cruise on Hotwire for $131+tax. I have heard really things about this hotel and it is so close to Bayside for us to walk. This board was so helpful in learning how to identify the hotels in the opaque ads. Thanks again, thereuare, for all the advice. :)

Regarding my booking with Hotwire for a 4* Downtown Miami for 1 night on 5/21/2006 $131+tax the amenities shown were:

Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Internet, Business, Laundry, "Customer favorite"

This got me the Intercontinental....exactly what I wanted right next to Bayside Market.

I called there this morning and requested 2 beds and they also gave me early check-in...this is for a post-cruise night so that was much appreciated. I am grateful to this board and thereuare....you have taught this "old dog" a new trick! Thanks again and I hope this helps others.
