Hotwire Hotel: 3* New York City (Airoprt LGA - Flushing) Hyatt Place Flushing/Laguardia Airport

This was a bit tricky; I REALLY wanted to avoid almost all the 3-star hotels around LGA like LaGuardia Hotel, Best Western Plus, and especially Hampton Inn.  I EXCLUSIVELY wanted the Hyatt Place Flushing/LGA, which is rated #1 of the hotels in the area (and cuz of the great locality to awesome chinese restaurants just outside the place).  I was provided 4 x 3* choices: a "new" 3-star (which had to be the Best Western Plus), a boutique (not interested), and two "very similar" options, both having almost identical amenities -- 9/10 (90%) rating, indoor pool(s), airport shuttle, business center, smoke-free rooms -- although one also had a  fitness center and a restaurant.   The problem here was that BOTH the Hampton Inn and Hyatt Place have all of these, as well as suites and queen bed selections.  Augh.  So I had to dig deeper...

One of the 2 had an original price of $254 (unlikely to be Hampton Inn) and had a TripAdvisor 4.5/5 rating (whereas the other had a 3.5/5 TA rating).  I still wasn't positive because an earlier 2015 post stated his Hyatt Place win had a 100% favorability rating vs the 90% favorability rating for these two.  Well, I took the chance anyways and got the Hyatt Place -- just as I wanted.  Please update your Hotwire hotel list to include the "All-suites" description that was used for this one, as well as the TA 4.5/5 rating -- which might help some people.

Anyways, of course I used the BB HOTWIRE link and I'm as always grateful for the info provided here.  Hope this helps to improve peoples' chances of getting this fantastic LGA property...

Welcome to Betterbidding.

Quite a nice win for this well-reviewed all-suites property and glad you are pleased with the result.

Can you confirm the amenities that were showing with this listing before purchase? This information is available under the trip information in your HOTWIRE account.

Additionally, the "retail price" on HOTWIRE is not the retail price of the underlying hotel, it's an average of comparable properties in the area. The % rating is from HOTWIRE customers, and there is nothing to check the current % against.

Thank you for sharing your win and using the site's PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches.

Enjoy your stay.

Oh, thanks for the correction. I saw different retail prices for each property, in that the Hyatt retail price was noticeably higher than that of the other property (presumably the Hampton Inn).  And so I thought that each retail  price applied specifically to each hotel. Guess not. Still, I'm glad I still got the better property.

And what I meant about the different review scores is that the Hyatt had a 90% hotwire customer rating and a 4.5/5 trip advisor score, whereas the other property had a 90% hotwire customer rating but a lower 3.5 trip advisor score. I hope that helps separate the two choices.  In any case, here were the initial 4 amenities for the Hyatt: indoor pools, airport shuttle, business center and smoke free rooms.

Oh, please add the three following amenities as these are shown on my confirmation:

Free breakfast

Free internet

Internet access

Thanks!
