I'm looking for help bidding for the above dates for a family trip to Universal Studios.  My back up hotel would be the Holiday Inn Express in North Hollywood at $195.... includes breakfast.  Prefer a 3 star that is less expensive.  Please advise.... Thank you!

Welcome to Betterbidding.

How many people are in the party? With bidding, only one bed is guaranteed - you can certainly ask the hotel and they may be more than willing to offer a room with two beds, but there's no guarantee: the hotel may say no or may charge more (if a room with two beds is usually a higher cost.)

Additionally, free breakfast is not guaranteed with bidding unless it is seen as a guaranteed amenity during the bidding process, which is quite rare. HOTWIRE (where you can indicate the amount of people in the party and get some form of bedding for the group, not to mention look for hotels w/breakfast as an amenity) or PRICELINE EXPRESS (where you can look for breakfast as an amenity and some listings will have bed choice options) are better choices. HOTWIRE listings may also offer a bed choice option where you can pick from specific options, but this is seen less frequently on HOTWIRE than on PRICELINE EXPRESS.

Additionally, which zones (where you would be okay with potentially being anywhere within the zone) would be acceptable?

Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
