iamamy Posted October 18, 2016 Report Posted October 18, 2016 Good morning. This is my first time using Priceline. I am headed to Vegas November 2 - 7th and cannot find a decent price on a hotel. Could someone give me some suggestions? I would like to stay in the 100.00 range per night.
thereuare Posted October 18, 2016 Report Posted October 18, 2016 Welcome to BetterBidding! If you're looking for something on the Strip between Luxor and the Wynn i don't think your budget is realistic for your dates above, which not only includes a weekend, but is also during the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Week Convention, with an expected attendance of 160K. Assuming your dates are firm are you willing to increase your budget, stay off-strip, or in the Stratosphere/Circus Circus part of the Strip? (which is not really what most consider to be 'the strip') Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know your thoughts and how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there. iamamy Posted October 18, 2016 Author Report Posted October 18, 2016 Thank you for your reply. I am attending an event at the T-mobile arena that week. I do plan to rent a car. What would your recommendation be?
thereuare Posted October 18, 2016 Report Posted October 18, 2016 Are you heading to the Arena multiple days of this trip or only once during the stay? How far are you willing to drive? Do you have any plans to 'hotel hop' along the strip? iamamy Posted October 18, 2016 Author Report Posted October 18, 2016 We will be at the arena Wed. - Sunday the fly back home on Monday. I would rather not be too far away from the strip.... No, but I could hotel hop...if it would benefit us.
thereuare Posted October 18, 2016 Report Posted October 18, 2016 I didn't mean "hotel hop' in the sense of SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID... i meant it in the sense that many Vegas hotels offer an attraction (as a 'hook' to bring in guests to gamble) and part of the Vegas appeal is seeing what each property has to offer by hopping from one hotel to the next. How about this: 3* McCarran International Airport (LAS) (confirm your dates on the landing page) for $119 Free Parking Business Center Airport Shuttle Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ==> best guess for this one woudl be the Doubletree Club Las Vegas Airport. While this is perhaps more than you ideally would like to spend, the reviews are good, it's close to your needed location, and there are (as far as i can tell) no resort fees (which will save you at least $15-$30 vs. a hotel on-the-strip, where almost all of the properties charge a resort fee) Alternatively you could stay in the north strip area (ie- near SLS, Circus Circus, Stratosphere, etc) or Downtown-Fremont St... but both of these will take you further from where you need to be (and you are more likely to encounter resort fees) Does the property above work for your needs? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know your thoughts, or how it goes if you take the offer above, and we'll take it from there.
