Priceline Hotel: NYC Dec 26 -31

Looking for help..Im traveling to NYC Dec 26-31.. Looking to be close to major tourist areas. Looking for 4-5 stars. I have a max budget around $250 is that realistic?

Please provide a follow-up for your prior Hotwire North Carolina thread (post what you decided for that stay within that thread, then reply to this thread and we would be happy to offer our thoughts on the above post.) Closing threads is greatly appreciated as it keeps the board organized and informs others researching.

 

Also, for this stay - do you have plans/thoughts about places you want to be close to? Acceptable zones (where you'd be willing to stay anywhere within the zone?) I'll also note that the 12/26-30 period is cheaper when viewed separately. The night of 12/30 is more expensive with people coming in for the traditionally extremely expensive NYE night.
