Handnavi
Hi all, i want to test priceline bidding for the first time. We want to book 2 rooms from 02/08/17 - 02/12/17. I want to bid for a 4.5* hotel in the following zones: Central Park South Chelsea Downtown - Financial District Empire State Building Midtown West - Hells Kitchen Lower East Side Madison Square Garden Midtown East Soho-Tribeca Times Square - Theatre District The price limit is ~140 USD / night before taxes and fees. Is this possible? What is the best strategy to bid? Thanks in advance! Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! Quick question in order to get started... It's not clear from your post above, are you looking for a 4* or 5* hotel for under $140/nite... or are you looking for a 4.5* hotel? (it's no clear do to the comma in 4,5) Please confirm and we will comment/advise accordingly. Handnavi
Oh sorry, i mean 4.5*. Link to comment
thereuare
I'm seeing this 4.5* Rockefeller Center hotel (confirm your dates on the landing page) for $148/nite with: Pets Allowed Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ==> best guess for this one would be the Omni Berkshire Place Does this zone (and hotel) work for your needs this trip... or do you want to try bidding? If bidding, is this an acceptable zone to include with the others above? (as i think this zone may offer your best chance at a 4.5* hotel at your $140 or under budget) If the Rock Center zone is acceptable, does it pay to increase your budget to $145/nite, so that if rejected you then take the PRICELINE EXPRESS above? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know your thoughts (or how it goes if you take the PRICELINE EXPRESS offer linked above) and we'll take it from there. Handnavi
Thanks for the fast reply! This zone is also acceptable and can be added to the others above. I still want to try bidding, because its not one of my favourite hotels. I would choose it if the bids get rejected. Link to comment
