jeanu2427 Posted September 30, 2016 Report Posted September 30, 2016 Through betterbidding's link I went on PRICELINE to name my own price on a hotel from 1/7/2017 through 1/8/2017. I searched the area of Golden, Colorado. No hotels came up specifically for Golden, CO so I clicked on Denver West. I bid $72 on a 3.5*, 3* and 2.5* which all were declined. When I bid on a 2* for $72 I got a room at the Hampton Inn Denver West Federal Center. I received a savings of 14% Room subtotal:$72.00 Taxes & fees:$15.76 Total charged today:$87.76

It appears that you kept your bid price the same throughout the bidding process, but It's usually advisable to lower your bid price when you lower your star rating (if it's not clear why let us know and we'll elaborate further)... feel free to ask for help with a bidding strategy before your next opaque travel purchase. Thank you for using the PRICELINE links on the board to begin your purchase and sharing your win, helping us add this property to the Priceline Hotel List. Enjoy your stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
