Priceline Hotel: 4.5* New York City (Midtown East) Intercontinental The Barclay

First, it is very difficult to win a bid during this time (mid-September) in NYC. I was bidding MSG (hoping to get EVEN hotel), Time square, Midtown for several weeks. My first bid was $180 and Priceline immediately offered 4 other hotels in different areas. The lowest offer was 4.5* New York City (Midtown East) Intercontinental The Barclay: $198/night. I checked the Priceline Express deal and found 4.5* in Midtown East area was $192. So I went ahead to book the hotel through Express deal. I was 100% sure that I would get Intercontinental The Barclay.

No Smoking Rooms/Facilities

I will add that you're also near my often recommended Ess-A-Bagel (Third Ave at 51st St) which has one of the best bagels in the city, makes for a nice, and relatively inexpensive, breakfast among local NYers.
