Hotwire Hotel: Help with 5* Central Park South/ 4* UWS

Sorry if I don't go by protocol but it is my first post.

 

I am looking at NYC from October 13-15. We prefer the UWS, but will do Central Park South as well. I am seeking help to possibly identify which hotels these might be. Here is what I am looking at:

 

Central Park South - 5*

$284/night : 5 star Hotel in Central park South area

80% recommended - 240 hotwire reviews

Pet friendly, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center, Internet Access

 

$397/night: 5-star Boutique Hotel in Central park South area

80% recommended - 116 hotwire reviews, 1501-2000 tripadvisor reviews 4.5 out of 5

Free Internet, Pet friendly, Boutique hotel, Fitness center, Restuarant(s), Business Center

 

UWS - 4*

$380/night : 4 star hotel in UWS area

Free Internet, Business Center, Restaurant(s), self-service laundry, spa services, accessible for visually impaired/hearing impaired, in-room accessibility

 

$315/night : 4 star boutque hotel in UWS area

==> my guess for this one would be The Lucerne

==> NYLO New York City
 

I'll add i'm also seeing this 5* Central Park South hotel (confirm your dates on the landing page) for $365/nite with:

No Smoking Rooms/Facilities
==> my guess here would be the Viceroy Central Park New York

 

I'm also seeing the Empire Hotel for $277/nite should this be of any interest.

Thank you. I will let you know how it comes out. I was really hoping that Hotwire would have something discounted for the Plaza, Trump Int'l, but looks likes it is the lower tier of 5* hotels they currently have for the dates I am seeking. Again, I will let you know how it turns out.

Not sure of your plans for this trip, but if you're willing to venture outside of the CPS and/or UWS zones i'm seeing (confirm any dates on the landing pages):

 

5* Empire State Building hotel for $359/nite with:

Pets Allowed
Business Center
Free Internet
Indoor or Outdoor Pool
Fitness Center
No Smoking Rooms/Facilities
==> The Marmara Park Avenue would be my best guess for this one

 

5* Chelsea hotel for $352/nite with:

Pets Allowed
Restaurant
Fitness Center
No Smoking Rooms/Facilities
==> the very well reviewed Kimpton Hotel Eventi would be my guess here

I appreciate your assistance and guidance. I just realized that I have a lot of Chase points and will use those to book the hotel. In your opinion would you stay at the Lucerne (in the UWS) or at the Plaza. We like the Lucerne and that area, but wouldn't mind having the experience of the Plaza, if it truly is worth staying at. Any thoughts?

I would take The Plaza based on the better location (imo) vs. the Lucerne.
