ucfseth Posted September 13, 2016 Report Posted September 13, 2016 Bid 60$ started with the french quarter and downtown areas and got rejected. 3rd bid I tried warehouse district and was accepted. The funny thing is I was 99% sure that hotwire had a hot rate for this hotel for $78 for the same dates. It's weird to me that hotwire lists this hotel under their french quarter/mississippi area while priceline lists it as warehouse district (which I think is more accurate). Total for 5 nights after fees and taxes was $367. Amenities listed: Outdoor Pool Non-Smoking Gym Business Center I remembered to use the PRICELINE link from betterbidding this time!
thereuare Posted September 13, 2016 Report Posted September 13, 2016 Congratulations on your success! Great to see you received a nice deal for this stay and are pleased with the results. Both services (PRICELINE and HOTWIRE) draw their zone boundaries differently... this is why it's important to look at the zone boundaries thru each service (and not just rely on the zone name) as you can often get an 'outlier' property that is within the zone but may not coincide with what most people consider to be 'downtown', 'city center', etc. Thank you for sharing your win and using the PRICELINE links on the board to begin your purchase. Enjoy your stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
