Priceline Hotel: help ID 4.5 Waikiki Beach-Ala Moana

Please help. I bid on this, when it comes to the preview page, the guaranteed amenities show as below.  But I was hoping it's the MODERN, can't figure out why Casino is listed in amenities.

Guaranteed Amenities:Indoor or Outdoor Pool, Casino, Restaurant, Fitness Center, Free Internet, Business Center, Guest Score 8/10 or Higher

There's no way to guarantee/increase the odds of getting a particular property when bidding. Is the Modern the only acceptable hotel? Please confirm your date/s of travel and desired budget per night (as well as zone and star rating) and we would be happy to research these dates and take a look at what is showing.

But the Modern is the only one in your list for 4.5* for Waikiki Beach - Ala Moana area?

 

Oct. 19 - Oct. 22  4.5* Waikiki Beach-Ala Moana area, around $200.

Did you read the message at the top of the Priceline Hotel List?  How do you know that a new 4.5* hotel was not recently added to the board but not yet reported as a win?  How do you know that your 4.5* bid would not be upgraded to a 5* hotel?  How do you know that this property has not been upgraded/downgraded to a 4* or 5* property?

In fact, you can use the following link and see that The Modern is now 5* rated by PRICELINE (and thus the reason for the message at the top of the hotel list )

 

When searching for your dates i see this 5* Waikiki Beach Marina - Ala Moana hotel (confirm your dates on the landing page) for $233/nite with:

Business Center
Restaurant
Free Internet
Indoor or Outdoor Pool
Casino
Fitness Center
No Smoking Rooms/Facilities
==> best guess for this one would be The Modern Honolulu

 

So you now you have to make a decision if trying to target The Modern is worth $233/nite to you... or if you'd like to try bidding on PRICELINE for a lower price, but risk landing a different 5* hotel.

Thank you for the explanation.  The only thing I am confused is that why it has casino?  I googled, and doesn't see the Modern has casino on site.

Sometimes the hotels 'get it wrong' and may list casino as an amenity when they may offer a shuttle to a nearby casino... i'm assuming that may be the case here, although i'm not sure if there are any legal casinos in Hawaii... perhaps there is a junket / ship that has scheduled service for going into international waters before they open the casino)?

 

However, if you go to The Modern listing and click the 'See All Amenities' link you will see Casino is listed there as an amenity.
