AaronJB
I think there may be more amenities than you have included above. If you repeat your search using our BiddingHelper tool and look in the EASY VIEW TAB, do you see additional amenities beyond those listed above? If so, please confirm the full amenity set and we would be happy to take a look. If you see: Free parking, Free Internet, Spa services, Resort, Pet friendly, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Golf nearby, Tennis nearby, Kitchenette >>>My guess would be the Trump. DallasMike
We are three college guys planning a trip to Vegas in the end of October. We are thinking of getting a 4-5* room with 2 queen beds plus a rollaway bed if possible. When looking at hotwire listings, I get a lot more options when I select 2 adults vs. when I select 3. My question to you all is, how important is it to specify the exact number of occupants at the time of booking if you are going to get a 4-5* room on the strip? Are they going to give us a hard time? The only decent option I seem to find with 3 adults is Trump but I want to avoid it because its slightly off the strip. Our dates are Oct. 27-Oct 30 2016 anywhere on the strip. thereuare
Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread. Once you win a hotel, use the 'ADD REPLY and REPORT WIN' button on the upper right corner of the page to edit the topic title to reflect your win and to provide the details of your purchase. This helps keep the board better organized by reducing the number of unresolved threads that don't have any follow-up or conclusion. Most of the higher end Las Vegas hotels are now charging more for rooms with two beds and/or any occupancy more than four... so it's certainly possible that the hotel would want an additional fee should you make it be known that you're actually 5 guests. It's up to you how much risk you're willing to accept, but personally i wouldn't do it with 5 adults... possibly with 4 guests (and not have everyone go to the desk at check-in), but not with 5 which exceeds the maximum quad occupancy for many standard hotel rooms. (but then again i'm not in collage anymore either... my perspective may have been different back then and perhaps i would have taken the chance, i'm sure i did worse things/taken more risk back then vs. what i'm willing to accept now) What is your expected budget (per nite before taxes/fees) for this trip? DallasMike
Thanks for your response. Let me correct you a bit. We are 3 guys total and my question is whether I can book a 4-STAR or 5-START room with a 2-person booking for all three of us. Our budget is about $150/night and we want it on the strip and trying to avoid a non-casino or a boutique hotel. Thanks, Link to comment
thereuare
Sorry, not sure where i got the 5 guest occupancy from... maybe i need another cup of coffee this morning. Triple occupancy will still involve some risk, but substantially less than if you're 5 people as i had previously thought, but if booking for double occupancy when you will actually be triple occupancy, i would only have one/two people go to the check-in desk while the other wonders around the lobby for a bit. Below is the hierarchy of risk, from high to low: -booking a standard room -booking a HOTWIRE or PRICELINE EXPRESS property that shows a Bed Choice and one of those bed choices is a room that will accommodate your needs -booking for 2adults/1child (when you will be 3 adults) -booking for 3adults (your true occupancy) For example, i'm currently seeing a 4* hotel on HOTWIRE (searching 2adults/0chldren) for $137/nite with a 2 Queen bed choice that may be Treasure Island... would this work for your needs? DallasMike
Thanks so much. Yes it would. In the same search, I saw another 4-star in south strip for $147 with 95% positive rating and looked more lucrative. This unfortunately doesn't have the choice of beds. I will do the $137 and will report back shortly. I will use the provided links. thanks! Link to comment

DallasMike
I ran into an issue. When I use the link provided on this site, I am not getting the bed type selection option. When I go straight to the hotwire.com site, I get the bed type choice for the same hotel. I really want to use the link here for all the help I got from here. Please let me know ASAP. thereuare
Use this HOTWIRE link or the HOTWIRE tab on the left side of the search results when searching thru the BiddingHelper.com... but you'll need to match up the price and other information in the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab with the information on the HOTWIRE TAB, since the hotwire tab will not show the complete set of amenities associated with the hotel (only the first 9) Thanks for using the board's link for your purchase. Good luck and let us know how it goes or how we can be of further help if you have any further issues.
