Priceline Hotel: Downtown chicago

Is it possible to get a decent hotel room in downtown Chicago between 25/9-29/9 for 70$/night?

Im thinking minimum 3*

Or should I aim for something els..

Unfortunately, $70 downtown is not going to be realistic for these dates. You're probably looking at $105-115ish, depending on zone and star rating.  $70 is possible in the suburbs, but the suburbs are difficult less you have a car. Additionally, depending on where, it's about a 30-50 minute train ride each way from the burbs, although the Metra trains from the burbs are very nice.
