hrocha Posted August 21, 2016 Report Posted August 21, 2016 Hi, I would like to kindly ask if you may know which are the possible hotels for the Hotwire searches below: Period: Nov, 19th - Nov, 23rd 1) 4-star Hotel in Times Square South area 45% recommended $105 per night Free Internet, Boutique hotel, Business center, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Smoke-free rooms, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility 2) 4-star Hotel in Central Park South area 85% recommended $117 per night Boutique hotel, Business center, Fitness center, Internet access, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom Thank you so much, Helena.
AaronJB Posted August 22, 2016 Report Posted August 22, 2016 Welcome to Betterbidding. I'd be a bit concerned with the 45% approval rating for the first listing. That has not yet been ID'd/reported, but my guess likely that the Row has been upgraded to 4* since last reported. I'll also note that there is a resort fee for this property so the actual price per night will be higher than $105 when considering the fees. The 4* Central Park South has not yet been ID'd/reported, but also has resort fees - approximately $32 per night. Are you looking for something in particular? Let us know more about what you are looking for in terms of budget, acceptable location/s and any other factors and we would be happy to research and offer suggestions. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
hrocha Posted August 22, 2016 Author Report Posted August 22, 2016 Hi, tks for the help Aaron! Here's what I'm looking for: City: New York Period: Nov, 19th - Nov, 23rd 2016 Budget: around $700 for total period including resort fees Areas: Times Square (South or North) and Central Park (South) Stars: minimum of 4 Ps. 1 room, 2 Adults Thank you so much, Helena.
thereuare Posted August 22, 2016 Report Posted August 22, 2016 Are other nearby zones, such as Rockefeller Center? (or MSG, Chelsea, ESB, etc??) Are you willing to pay more for a higher rated/reviewed hotel OR is the goal the least expensive 4* or better for this trip? Have you been to NYC before? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. hrocha Posted August 23, 2016 Author Report Posted August 23, 2016 Hi thereuare! Tks for the help in advance! No, I'd rather the areas that were mentioned and 700 usd is the higher price I'm really able to spend for this period in NY, to be honest. The goal the least expensive 4* or better for this trip. I've been many times to NYC before actually. I've stayed in different areas, except for Soho-Tribeca which I know are more expensive... Tks!!
thereuare Posted August 23, 2016 Report Posted August 23, 2016 One more question... What about the Hudson Hotel which which is a 4* hotel in the CPS that is well located, but has notoriously small rooms (even by NYC standards)... is this an acceptable outcome? hrocha Posted August 23, 2016 Author Report Posted August 23, 2016 Hi, thereuare, it would be an option but with taxes and fees the total amount is 784USD, which is more than I am looking for to pay. Do you think that the option below is too risky? I guess it could be Millenium Hotel... Total is 663USD with taxes and resort fees. 1) 4-star Hotel in Times Square South area 45% recommended $105 per night Free Internet, Boutique hotel, Business center, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Smoke-free rooms, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility
thereuare Posted August 23, 2016 Report Posted August 23, 2016 The Millennium Broadway would be an option for the one above, but so would The Row and/or (to a lesser extent) The Hotel Mela. I would sooner take the 4* HOTWIRE Central Park South hotel for $112/nite with: Boutique hotel, Fitness center, Business center, Internet access, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom ==> guesses for this one would be the Park Lane, comes to $697 all-in when using the link and discount in my signature... and should this guess be wrong, you have a 'safety net' of an 85% recommendation by previous HOTWIRE guests and a 4.0/5.0 TA rating If you would rather save $10/nite to stay at a hotel that is 45% recommend i would sooner stay in the MSG zone (just 10 blocks south of the times square zone) at what looks to be The Wyndham New Yorker for $583 all-in or at one of the Club Quarters in midtown that is $585 all-in... at least this represents more savings and is still very close (5-10 minute walk) to your preferred location(s) above. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know what you decide or if any of the other options above are of interest and we will provide details for purchase. hrocha Posted August 23, 2016 Author Report Posted August 23, 2016 Hey guys, I have booked the option below and got ROW NYC. They also mentioned that it could be Millenium Broadway before I've booked, but I got Row. 4-star Hotel in Times Square South area 45% recommended $105 per night Free Internet, Boutique hotel, Business center, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Smoke-free rooms, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility Thanks for the help!!
thereuare Posted August 23, 2016 Report Posted August 23, 2016 Congratulations on your success! Glad to see it was one of the hotels guessed and that you're pleased with the results. For the future note that the "Last person got ___" information shown by HOTWIRE is in reference to the last person who bought a hotel of this star rating in the zone, not necessarily the underlying hotel currently being offered. Thank you for sharing your win with the board and helping us update the Hotwire Hotel List with the new star rating and amenity set for this property. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Enjoy your stay.
